US refuses Turkey permission to use Pakistani pilots for F-16 training

What are you talking about. Pakistan has had air to air refuelling for years. It's not PAF that needs updating it YOU
Why are you getting cocky? Turkey obviously considers Pakistanis for the job because Pakistan is a trusable partner, read this post.
Article is very misleading.
Turkey wanted to hire 3 Pakistani F16 instructors who applied for jobs. However, the US made clear that foreign citizens aren't allowed to use Nato hardware.

And next time pls consider that TAI and Aselsan had upgraded a number of Pakistani F-16 since years already and hopefully cooperate more with Pakistan in the future.

Analyzing the Pakistan Air Force's F-16 Mid Life Update (MLU) program
TURKEY WILL UPGRADE PAKISTAN’S F-16S
TAI WILL UPGRADE PAKISTAN’S F-16 MLU FIGHTERS WITH NIGHTTIME CAPABILITIES

Also remeber: TAI testpilot testing upgraded Pakistani F-16.

An absolute short film which takes only 45 seconds from brake release to 15.000 feet!...

Pure performance show of an F-16 BM Block 15 which belongs to 11 th Squadron “Arrows” - Pakistan Air Force, by TAI Test Pilot Murat KELEŞ (Pilot in Command) and Murat ÖZPALA ( Rear Seat Pilot)…

Pak and Turkey have pilot exchange program... so every year... both countries send pilots to eachothers countries.

And the F16s are Turkish property....

Seems like BS... or another issue..

Why the he'll did they have to tell them they were Pakistanis. All training and is done.in English and Turks look like us

If ever there was a wake-up call for Muslims to go alone and make their own equipment this is it. Final nail in the coffin

Why would Turkey pick Pakistan I trainers over all of NATO?

typical pakistani mindset (for that matter desi)

American stuff is not worth buying and Pakistan is not under any US ransom anymore as they can buy whatever Pakistan deemed.

Turkey needs to rid itself from NATO. It is an organization not worth joining. Too many rubbish rules.

what is stopping you ?

not for f-16s

you are living in denial. Those pakistan and Turkish are no where as what you rubbished of closely monitored by US personnel. There is no US personnel living in PAF airbase hangar or staying by 24/7.

Lei Qiang, the test pilot of J-10A who experienced 4th generation western fighter in the 90s, mention about grateful to the country who host him, let him test ride and even operate the fighter jet together with the country compatriot.

I think we do not need black and white from him to mention that country is Pakistan and the fighter he sits on is F-16B. When US withheld fighter rightfully owned by PAF. Do you think Pakistan still give a damm about US security for F-16?

PAF F-16s are under video surveillance

Why would any country (USA or France or Russia or Germany) sell any cutting edge technology to Pakistan if Pakistan violates terms of sale and leaks technology to China ?

Wonder why Russia denied AESA radar technology for Su-35 for Pakistan ?

.
Why do they need US's permission? Give temporary citizenship to Pakistani pilots and then use "New" Turkish pilots to train new Turkish Rookie pilots.

The US has rejected a Turkish proposal to use Pakistani pilots for F-16 training, the Cumhuriyet daily reported on Monday, based on an article written by a pro-government columnist.

According to the article by Mehmet Acet, the government purged 680 of 1,350 pilots in the Turkish Air Forces following a coup attempt on July 15, 2016. In order to compensate for the lack of pilots, the government called on former pilots who opted to work in the private sector after 10 years of service in the air forces to return to the military. But only 50 pilots responded to the call. As a solution, the government inserted an article in a recently issued state of emergency decree which stipulates that pilots, including former pilots, serve 18 years in the air forces before going to the private sector.

“Hence, it is expected that 200 pilots including 100 F-16 pilots who left the air forces before completing 18 years in the military will return to the military,” said Acet in his article published in the Yeni Şafak daily.

Using a general as a source, Acet said in the meantime the Turkish Air Forces asked Pakistan to send three F-16 pilots to train Turkish pilots. Although Pakistan welcomed the Turkish request, the US refused to allow Ankara to go with Pakistani trainers.

According to an F16 purchase agreement between Turkey and the United States, the US must give permission for any third party involvement in the use of the aircraft.

According to Acet, the general used a Turkish idiom in response to Washington’s refusal, saying, “This means you fall down where you are

For they are the best in this business!!!! Moreover, they have Iman and Ihlas, which all the money in the world can't buy!!!!! Pak folks may be given the Turkish citizenship (one nation 2 states)!!! Only problem with the Turkish citizenship is that you sometimes may need to change your family name since some names are prohibited, e.g., (K)han, Shah, Mir, Mirza etc., but combinations are OK, e.g., Gulhan, Dilshah, Miro'lu, Mirzabey etc. This is due to the Kemalist closet revolution done in haste under Masons/Zionists to buy 100 years of peace!!!! Anyway, even the pilot of the Presidential aircraft during President Turgut Ozal's period was a Pak folk....

What Pakistani posters are not realizing is according to US rules Pakistani pilots can fly Pakistani F-16s, Turkish pilots belonging to NATO airforce can fly both Pakistani and Turkish F-16s, but Pakistani pilots are not allowed near Turkish F-16s because they are considered NATO equipment.

And Turkey sees no value in antagonizing America by breaking these rules.

Why do you have to poke your filthy nose where it does not concern your filthy country?

:hitwall:

USA has never met an enemy that can fight back. They only pick on countries that can't fight back. Pakistan has a trump card (no pun intended). If we die Israel and half of Europe dies. We will do what Hitler couldn't

.
Are you really Turkish?

I was wondering the same after reading many of his posts around here (he writes mostly in the Pakistan related threads though) and I came to a conclusion he is a wanna be Ottoman Pakistani member or something. Yeah... you can see all kind of people around here I guess. :D

ps The "One nation- Two states" slogan is reserved for Turkiye and the bros in Azerbaycan... sorry if I have to ruin it for you @HAKIKAT. :enjoy:

.
Perhaps there is some advanced equipment that the US does not want Pakistani Pilots to see and/or use...

Regardless, its pretty unfortunate that we cannot assist our Turkish Brethren...

.
Pakistan can give some F-16s to China for mass production.

Co'mon China :) you can exchange them with some FC-31s.

@ChineseTiger1986 :china:

Sorry, I do not mean to be rude at all Brother.
F-16 is very, very INFERIOR in every way compared to J-10A.
( yes, J-10A. don't even mention J-10B or J-10C, or even the upcoming FC-31 v2 ).

You may not be aware of this. Recently all ( PLAN and PLAAF ) J-10As are undergoing Radar upgrade to AESA. ( yes, AESA... you read that correctly ).

Even, F-22s are OBSOLETE because it does NOT have the DSI tech.
Many Pakistani have a tendency to overlook the importance of DSI in JF-17s in war fighting performance.

I deeply regret that PLAAF missed the chance to display J-10As war fighting performances in front of Indian audiences in Himalayas, New Delhi, and all the way to Kochi.

DSI is one of the technologies that has trickled down straight from J-20 to J-10 and Thunder. Hopefully more goodies will keep flowing. And in some cases, maybe Thunder and J-10 will be used to mature a technology before putting it on J-20
