Billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson just donated $10 million to Mitt Romney's Super PAC, and told Forbes he is willing to spend $100 million or more to ensure President Obama is not re-elected.

Adelson is by far the biggest political donor in American politics. Before this latest contribution, he had given more than $26 million to Super PACs in 2012, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. That includes the $21.5 million he gave to Newt Gingrich's Super PAC, which single-handedly kept the former House Speaker's presidential campaign alive. He's also given $1.3 million to state politics over the years.

While the amount Adelson is willing to spend is staggering, $100 million in political contributions would not put a dent in his largesse. His $25 billion net worth makes him the world's fourteenth-richest person, according to Forbes. To Adelson, $100 million is less than one half of one percent of his net worth—spending it would be the equivalent of a family worth $250,000 spending $1,000.

Adelson's wealth comes from his casino empire in Las Vegas and Southeast Asia. His company, The Las Vegas Sands Corp., brought in $9.4 billion in 2011, according to financial filings.

Politically, Adelson's donations have been heavily Republican. His most pressing concerns, perhaps the driving issues behind his political giving, have been the support of Israel and what he called Obama's 'socialist-style economy.'

^^^Pathetic seeing a US presidential contender having to do the above.

The US has been hijacked by Jews who swear loyalty to a foreign entity and not the US.

Perhaps he thinks being mega rich he will pay a lot less than 100mil in tax under Romney or perhaps be cause the man in the magic undies thinks this?

US Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney delivered a foreign policy speech in Jerusalem on Sunday, saying it was a deeply moving experience to be in Jerusalem, "the capital of Israel."

Romney: Deeply moving to be in Je... JPost - Diplomacy & Politics

Mitt Romney is a twit and is not going to win , Ron Paul is the only Republican who could have defeated Obama but the Media boycotted him for his sharp views.

In France the maximum donation to a presidential candidate per donor is capped at $4000.

The outcome is not predictable just yet since a few swing states can make all the difference given the numbers in the electoral college. Campaign finance is a huge issue in the US presidential elections for sure.

true enough,anything could happen.

That said I personally think Obama is a shoo-in, but I live in a Democrat stronghold and that is the opinion that surrounds me. Im not totally unsatisfied with his foreign policy and the general direction of NASA though, so Ill probably vote for him.

Choice between a "M0ozzLumm in hiding" vs a twit ?

Mitt Romney and his family are wealthier than that man.

.

Or perhaps boycotted him because they wouldnt be able to control Ron Paul but they think Mitt can be?

That was the 2008 election - and we Americans chose the "M0ozzLumm in hiding"! Get up to date, dude!

Without getting into that Solomon , the entire debate on his M0ozzLumm in hiding started after the first year.

Ron Paul is one angry old man who cannot be controlled , i looked up his video where he is questioning Ben Shalom Bernankiye for so called "Audit the fed bill". He could make a great US president but not good for AIPAC because he won't go and touch his forehead on the "holy wall" wearing a "kipot"

Really? , Sheldon is worth over $25,0000,00000. Mitt Romney is just worth at $250 million.

No, sir, it was considered before the election. (1, 2, 3) We Americans just rejected it or decided it wasn't important, that's all.

As i said , lets not even go there right now. AFIK , the common understanding Americans had really came to light in later surveys.

Mit Romney Went to Israel then Ron Paul should go to Iran Cuz he thinks its not Americans duty to stop Iran go nuclear, may be they will support him and then he should visit soldiers in Afghanistan, And express his solidarity with them, Then the families of soldiers will definitely vote for him.

Both parties are 90% similar on most issues. The few differences during campaign season are usually shoehorned into a compromise position during office anyway.

Ron Paul was a goner because he doesn't play the game with the insiders and The Money. Sadly, he also would not get elected because too many voters are addicted to their particular share of the pork.
