Regarding quality, you need to take in factor like prices and is hard due to perception. Chinese weapon customers are mostly budget nation. You dont expect Tarzania to able to afford F-22 raptor fighter jet? Do you? Customers are cheap and product will also be cheap. But Chinese weapon produced for ourselves will be premium, reasonable but not cheap prices.

High quality Chinese hardware is expensive as well (e.g. Gree Viola AC series).
