The irony of US sanctions on Pakistan is that the lessons were learned in India instead. Indian leadership, at least those of sound minds, came to realize that the US cannot be trusted as a security partner.

Even if the US does not impose sanctions on India this threat is likely to resonate with them for a considerable time.

No I disagree with you, the reason why India abstained 3 times from voting against Russia is because more than 70% of India's military hardware is Russian dependent, without Russian support Indian military capabilities with time would be EXTREMELY crippled, had Indian leadership truly been that insightful they would have been fully aware of the synergy between China and Pakistan and would be fully aware of their own military shortcomings and of China's and Pakistan's capabilities, they should have bided their time and not have joined US (an unreliable security partner) anti China QUAD alliance, if they had done that swift retort would not have happened and ladkh and arunachal pradesh would not have been challenged and status qou would have been maintained until China's attention would have been severely diverted else where like Taiwan etc.

India-USA relationship is a function of what China does. It is not what China does in the next few days. It is what China does in the decades to come. It is anyone guess what China's leadership chooses to do.

It is not in Pakistan interest to see USA and India form a deep alliance. Pakistan does not have any say here.

If India really wants the S-400 they will get it. If USA really wants to prevent the sale they can. But there will be some bargaining under the table to maintain the relationship that PDFers will not be privy too

So no more Kornet orders? Mig-29 was not happening as it's, I believe. They'd be buying a Western jet for the Naval order. We need to sea how their subsurface and surface fleet is affected by the sanctions, alongside space and tank systems.

US could not even issue a statement against India, retracted it - I doubt they'd be putting any sanctions on India. If anything, there'd be backdoor diplomacy to put a halt on future orders, nothing else. India is the new Ukraine against the Chinese, so will continue to get special treatment.

My comment is based on general observation of Indian foreign policy that had existed, at least, prior to the coming of the Modi regime, and not referring to why India had abstained from voting against Russia.

Just a diversionary article by the "world class quality" media while remaining blind to the probability that this whole Russo-Ukranian fiasco is orchestrated by the U.S and Chinese governments working in collusion to generate business for the US through arm sales to Europe, and for China to completely bring Russia under its sphere of influence by appearing to save the Russians through investing money (more like buying out) key industries in Russia and probably even the resource rich Siberia.
