99% of thier weapons are cold war era with a small number of MIG-29's in the air force. The reason they have not modernized is a combination of sanctions and lack of money. It is very expensive to upgrade and then maintain modern weaponry.

the americans dont need to parachute into that country when they can see every azz-end of it via satellite....they surely already have informants and defectors on their payroll

why would they risk being humiliated by air-dropping guys into that country and possibly having to deal with such a diplomatic crisis
