his colleagues have assassinated two Afghan taliban leaders inside Pakistan who came for peace talks
they killed Nasiruddin Haqqani near Islamabad and Mullah Masoor who was coming to Pakistan via Iran.
they will use Pakistan to facilitate the talks with Afghan Taliban and then assassinate them to score points not only on Pakistan and also settle their scores against Taliban too and they will have ready made reason to bitch about Pakistan when the Taliban retaliate with their attacks on the Americans inside Afghanistan

so cycle of violence continues and Pakistan stands blamed since Americans have no interest in peace

but i agree with your assessment that its been the strategy of US for a while that , lets bring Pakistan to use its influence over Taliban to bring them to table talks and than kill one of their commander that put Pakistan into a Precarious position and Pak lose its grip over the Afghan Taliban ..Afghanistan more than 50% is controlled by Taliban , ISIS , JuA , Uzbek Fighters, the rigid terrain is very much friendly to their commanders to hide and operate from than Pakistan ..

but i see Trump policy is to milk Indians , rather than actually go on with what they are saying, they drop the MOAB and somehow ISIS is getting stronger in Afghanistan and who knows the next Islamic state is declared in Afghanistan and we see a new Caliph rise from our western side of the border .

Nasiruddin Haqqani was assassinated near Bara Kahu outside Islamabad upon his return from Murree meeting with the Americans. it is way to coincidental and convenient (for someone) that his rival faction (if it even exists) chose to kill him at such a place and time
