And now that the LCS is about to start decommissioning, these mission packs haven't finished testing. Until decommissioned, the LCS hadn't been able to actually use these advanced transfer equipment that the U.S. Navy has praised for over 10 years.

Why is a brand new LCS ready to retire after 2 years of service, and why is the anti-submarine mission package that the US Navy declared in 2016 to reach the IOC announced in 2022 that it will never be equipped?
