It's either about Iran or Muslim Brotherhood. I don't think it's much about Iran, since Qatar sees eye to eye with KSA on Syria and Yemen. Qatar has troops currently in KSA on Yemeni border I believe. If this is about the Muslim Brotherhood I don't get that either, MB is generally weak in the light of events in the region. I'm sure GCC citizens are at odds with this too.

Qatar is now working with Iran, and against reconciliation with Israel. Big trouble!

Doesn't make sense from any stand point. It will affect the GCC apparatus. It will benefit Houthi's in Yemen. Turkey will likely have to respond to this, I don't know how, but it will affect Saudi-Turkish cooperation in Syria. Unfortunately it will force awkward situation for our Palestinian party Hamas which will have to speak out. Hamas sent a delegation to Egypt to discuss security and diplomatic relations just recently. Don't know what will follow now.

This is a bit more than just cutting diplomatic relations, also requiring all citizens to leave within 14 days out of Qatar and banning travel to there. I'm curious as to who swayed KSA into riding on board with this decision .... It's not in their interests .... On the other hand, could be just 'throwing a fit' and be resolved soon.

Iran is not involved, Qatar and Iran have differing positions on most conflicts in the region. They feel threatened by Iran too. Difference is it is not as intense as it is between Iran and KSA.

If USA is involved, it's definitely not the theory you're putting forward. All these nations have good ties with the US. So there is no Qatari-US scheme here, with all due respect you're overreaching here. US only difference with Qatar may be regarding Syria but more likely hosting Hamas and supporting Hamas. Other than that, US doesn't care, it is just looking for Israel's benefit.

We should have saw this coming ever since summit in Riyadh, where Egyptian President Sisi made a speech indirectly referencing Qatar and urging action against such 'states'. What is the end game with this is what I'm interested in.
