True to an extent...the difference lies in change. There are lots and lots of inter-caste marriages happening in India. We are shedding that social barrier of caste. What about muslims? Are you willing to accept your women getting married to another religion? What punishment is prescribed in the quran for deserting the religion? Can you go against something that is written in the book?

The daughter should be allowed to marry whoever she wants and hopefully with more enlightenment in this region more of these horror stories will be the thing of the past, but you can start by being an example on this forum and not paint every Muslim with the same brush.

Just the other day there was a news story of an Indian dad killing his daughter because she married into the wrong cast. I think this has more to do with the backwardness of South Asia than anything else.
