Taliban statement
Wreckage doesn't look like Chinook at allit was a US CH 47 Chinook helicopter being used for a night raid against taliban, carrying ANA special forces. most probabally made a hard landing and wreckage later detroyed by airstrike.
they were scrap as previous batch these choppers are good for photo shot onlydint banya gift two helicopters to aghan forces few days back? is this the one?
wreckage look like nothing at all becoz it has been deliberately destroyed by airstrike as standrd procedure of US and NATO forces. the heli fell in taliban area and could not be salvaged so they destroyed it.Wreckage doesn't look like Chinook at all
There is a video which shows sizable parts of the heliwreckage look like nothing at all becoz it has been deliberately destroyed by airstrike as standrd procedure of US and NATO forces. the heli fell in taliban area and could not be salvaged so they destroyed it.
According to Colonel David Butler, a spokesman for US Forces Afghanistan, a CH-47 Chinook helicopter “hit the ground hard on the way to drop passengers off” during a mission in Helmand province. There is a video which shows sizable parts of the heli
Yes, any US plane/heli shot down in war zone is always subject to technical glitch - that is usual. Is this news confirmed? Media is reporting that a US helicopter destroyed, during hard landing, due to some technical fault. Crew injured.
Not necessarily, helicopters which are struck are reported as such, but every incident cannot be attributed to ground fire without evidence.Yes, any US plane/heli shot down in war zone is always subject to technical glitch - that is usual.
In this case, let's agree to disagree. USA got proven track records of lies. Not necessarily, helicopters which are struck are reported as such, but every incident cannot be attributed to ground fire without evidence.
Afghanistan is noted for its harsh geographical features and hot climatic conditions, and these factors can influence the course of operations at times. YOU can overcome people, but YOU cannot beat nature.
Refer to you this thread: https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/no-evidence-of-the-loss-of-an-f-16.618802/In this case, let's agree to disagree. USA got proven track records of lies.
Just note in Kargil and 27/02; Indians also staged the same dramas of technical glitches - here our brothers do extensive analysis and proven the claims wrong and even details are clearing thru Indian authorities themselves as the investigation goes on, specifically downing of MI-17.
Respect for your opinion but not convinced. USA/West have the more disinformation mechanism in the world and proved while finding WMD in Iraq. They propagate lies in such blatant and forceful manner that people like us with no resources started to believe it is truth. Whatever they want to hide/unhide, it depends upon on their interests.Refer to you this thread: https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/no-evidence-of-the-loss-of-an-f-16.618802/
In the absence of the Western Information Machine debunking Indian state-driven propaganda in relation to developments on February 27, 2019, Pakistan stood no chance at countering it on its own because we do not have comparable reach, and Think Tanks with excellent tools and resources.
If the helicopter in question was shot down, this reality will become known, but if not, then futile narrative-building. Helicopter-related crashes can be due to pilot error, heated conditions, lot of dust, or due to hostile fire - can be anything.
NATO military-related reporting is normally accurate, politics notwithstanding.
This might also surprise you: Taliban's most recent Spring Offensive have flopped - not much to show. All these accounts of civilian deaths popping up recently - ANA took the fight to Taliban's so-called shadow regions and killed many with support from USAF.
First hint: https://www.tolonews.com/afghanistan/taliban’s-spring-offensive-has-failed-khalid
Russia have scheduled a meeting between the Taliban and the Afghan government in Moscow: https://www.tolonews.com/index.php/...ticians-taliban-members-attend-meeting-moscow
Now the Taliban will talk.

For example, how we know the truth as today everything revolves against lies. Who knows Taliban/USA winning the war in Afghanistan or loosing. But your actions tell, when you release ex-terrorists from Guantanamo and start to negotiate them on table, even a blind could predict, who got the upper hand.
When one claim that these are handful of miscreants in Afghanistan and suddenly you go to the table after hitting your head against the wall with all state of the art weapons at your disposal then one could understand what is actually going on the ground though propaganda war is else.
