Same in Europe where wealthy Chinese have been the biggest immigrants(almost 50%) buying our wealthy visa scheme which requires immigrants to invest at least £2million in the UK and in return grants them a 3 years stay here(and future opportunities for citizenship) . In fact due to the high numbers of wealthy corrupt individuals involved , our government started looking into this scheme to amend it.

In fact there was recently leak in some papers in Cyprus which showed how wealthy Chinese and Arabs are buying up citizenship for access to Europe in Cyprus(where it's easier to get citizenship). China's richest woman was exposed to be involved in getting one as well.

So it's a well known phenomenon which I think should be look at in China. I'm sure there are several more super wealthy Chinese who hold double nationality of Chinese and some western country. In fact I don't think it's a bad thing per se. As a wealthy person we should always have plan B(or several options) in case things sour for us. I think China should also amend it's law on double citizenship, I don't see why they can't allow double nationality.
