Ukroboronprom ready to modernize 300 T-72 tanks to meet NATO standards

Kornet missiles serving them up for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert

8 km anti tank. 10 km thermobaric.
Blind WIki use.

The Kornet EM long-range missile system was unveiled at the Moscow Airshow (MAKS) in August 2011.
The system was also demonstrated at the Russian Arms Expo (RAE) in September 2013.

Kornet EM is on order by Bahrein, which is the launch customer.
Bahrain orders latest Kornet ATGW - IHS Jane's 360

The Kornet heavy anti-tank guided missile itself entered service with the Russian Army back in 1994. From the start it was developed as a universal missile, which could be fired from various platforms. The Kornet is a fire-and-forget type anti-tank missile. This laser-guided missile has a range of 100 to 5 500 m. Maximum range at night is 3 500 m. Missiles are available with thermobaric and tandem HEAT warheads. A tandem HEAT warhead penetrates up to 1 200 m behind explosive reactive armor.

In short, it is equivalent to e.g. Spike-LR, TOW and other ATGWs.

The long range version is only just available, and obviously going to the well-p[aying middle eastern customers.

Big deal.

T-72B3 and BTR-82A are all new 2013 / 2014 military hardware and they have already seen action in Ukraine since 2014. If Russia supplies Kornets to NAF, it would be the new Kornet ER ones.

I've never seen video footage of NAF using Kornets. Thus far they've only shown using Konkurs and Fagots. Maybe they do use Kornets and are deliberately not showing them.

The 9M133 tube shown in the article could be faked. Until I see footage of NAF using Kornets, I reserve my point that Russia has not supplied Kornets to NAF.

Russia has like 100,000 Kornets. If UAF deploys 300 PT-91 tanks, they'd be slaughtered.

But clearly not EM version .....

(And those 100,00 you added later aren't the EM version either).

But as you stated, Russia has not supplied Kornets to NAF

I have not seen concrete proof of NAF using Kornets. Like I said, the 9M133 container shown in the article could be fake. If I see on youtube of NAF firing a Kornet, then I will say yes.

300 PT-91 tanks? Those won't last a week. Kornet missiles serving them up for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert. :victory:

3 soldiers die with every tank destroyed. 900 soldiers die with 300 tanks destroyed.

Do they or don't they have Kornet?

Which missiles in particular are you referring to? There are no more Pershings, there are no more groundlaunched Tomahawk.
And when are you going to answer this, Superboy?
WHAT US MISSILES? Name the type.

Sadly yes Russia has lost a major battle by loosing Ukraine

It hasn't lost anything in Ukraine.

Looking at the threats in the near future, Russia has infact gained a strong part of Ukraine. Let's face it; Kiev even under Yanukovych was not really interested to re-join Russia back. Especially the non-ethnic western Ukrainians who are mixed and are more interested in merging with the EU than Russia. However, now with 50% of Ukrainians keen on joining Russia, particularly the eastern ones, Crimea has given them hope to soon join them.

Russia will keep funding the fighters till Europeans leave Ukraine.

Most likely, Ukraine will end up splitting into two halves; independent Ukraine as a part of EU and eastern Ukraine a part of Russia.

The tragic part about this is, lots of lives are at stake, a peaceful country has been destroyed by NATO's greed and this further highlights why it is important for 'competitor' nations of BRICS to further tighten their grip on democracy, eliminating systems that allow hostile countries any leverage, including federalism, communalism and take measures like Lee Kwan Yew to consolidate their countries.

Reuters? lol.

Like Guardian was pimping fake news about a russian convoy entering ukraine of which it could not provide proof. West is in war propaganda mode.

How should I know? I'm not a military expert. :big_boss:
THen why do you presume to know that US missiles will be placed in the Ukraine?

The only tactical missile in serrvice is ATACMS, which currently is strictly non-nuclear.
Mind your beez wax

Russian regular soldiers have precious lives. They do not fight without air and sea cover. Plus, there are plenty of rebels, don't need Russian regular soldiers.

There are thousands of T-72B3 tanks.

Thousands? No.

Russia upgraded 300 T-72s to B3 level
