Schools are being offered £30,000 extra funding to hire and promote gay and transgender teachers, it can be revealed.

Critics have described the policy as "profoundly misguided" and warned it will oblige head teachers to favour some staff over others, regardless of their ability.

They say the policy fuels discrimination and erodes the fundamental principles of equality because it ignores skill and talent.

I'll be the first to vouch for equality, rather than promoting undue preference to certain people, however, I am tired of certain members complaining about how humans have broken "god's laws" or mother "nature's laws" or some other cooked up reason because of their own homophobia.
It's 2015, there are adequate reproduced, reviewed and confirmed scientific research to show that people are genetically pre-programmed to be either gay or bisexual. They can't help it as much as someone can do so to be straight.
However, even if you don't have any or little scientific knowledge, it is common civility to live and let live. If you don't like something, you have plenty of functioning muscles in the neck and eyes to turn away.
P.S. The article is right about this ending up preferring someone less qualified, over someone more qualified.

That's why when I have children I will raise them for their first 10-15 years in Pakistan so they can absorb the traditional values of their forefathers.

Just the thought of my kids coming home indoctrinated from school to believe that some guy shoving his willy up another man's crap hole is "natural" and "normal" gives me goosebumps. Not gonna happen.

This is a diversity grant...this could include things like hiring more Muslim or black teachers for instance. To sabotage it all groups were added knowing people immediately zeroed in on the sexual thing just to squash the other groups from having a chance.
