Too personal bro, but not too long ago, not too recent. When did you attend........?
Sisi of Egypt is the only leader I've seen that has said aspects of Islam need to be reformed.
He's said that preaching about Jihad etc needs to stop. Imams are now being scrutanised more in Egypt to make sure they're not hate preachers.
I wish other leaders would follow his brave stand.
The UAE is offering religious training for more than 17,000 Afghan mosque imams, including women preachers and preachers for the police and army, which contribute to promoting tenets of moderate Islam and security across Afghanistan,” Othmani said.
From the article:
Why not send them to Saudi first?
Tell us what REALLY HAPPPENED? Why did the UAE kick you out?
Moderate Muslims, yes sure. Drinking alcohol and financing terrorism, that's the moderate way.
Most of the ISIS fighters are from Europe where they drink alcohol and had a Western lifestyle before joining ISIS.LOL....Here's a true moderate for ya' ! Stating that drinking alcohol is as bad as financing terrorism.
Most of the ISIS fighters are from Europe where they drink alcohol and had a Western lifestyle before joining ISIS.
yes and that 's crazy. Most of the ISIS fighters are from Europe where they drink alcohol and had a Western lifestyle before joining ISIS.
A European trying to give lessons to others about peace. You try to spread your democracy by bombing countries that had never attacked you, killed thousands, side with militants to overthrow regimes and put the country under chaos. And when all that happens you blame the people of that country for their current state than yourselves.File your complaints to the local imams. Not that i see many differences between them or the average ones in Asian,ME countries who hack to death a blogger for his beliefs or riot like Neanderthalians, burn flags or try to storm embassies over cartoons.
I think atheism also plays a part. A town in France proposed a law that would make it illegal (or forbid) the public display of religious symbols.yes and that 's crazy.
i was reading a Belgium newspaper few days ago (Belgium is the champion of number of jihadis): it could probably be linked to the feeling by some extremists that Belgium (other countries in Europe) have a very bad feeling towards muslims , and for exemple making laws to forbid even veil in public places or even universities (like in France : lot of women have been fired from university for this reason).

this is another form of extremism . sadly.I think atheism also plays a part. A town in France proposed a law that would make it illegal (or forbid) the public display of religious symbols.
