Yes, but even when Indonesia gets investments, Vietnam will still get alot for itself too, because the demand is ALOT...there is enough for Asian countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, etc to do well. its now the Asian century IMO.
Yes manufacturing will move to Asean especially Vietnam, that’s inevitable trend. The US buys lots of China, 500 billion USD, they seek alternative sources. They want non chinese suppliers. We are a coyote we wait on the sideline we watch the fight, we take the business. Win win.
It's not about Chinese or not. US is against communist and socialism. Vietnam and China is on the same boat.As long as the tension between the US and China remains high there is no concern. Investors will continue to come in masse. The concern in my opinion is She is chinese that will be a tough negotiation for us.
