A gun battle broke out between suspected militants and security forces in Hadoora area of Ganderbal district on Tuesday morning.
A senior police officer of the district confirmed the encounter and said that further details are awaited as the firing rages on.
Based on intel regarding the presence of militants, a cordon was set up and a gun battle ensued, sources said. Specific details about the number of trapped militants is yet to be confirmed.
