Turning point in Kashmir

I am not sure why people are cheering is it not the "JOB" of the rescue teams to ACTUALLY "rescue" the people who need help? Esp when YOU are claiming KASHMIR as your own?

Rather hypocritical if you ask me...YOU claim them as yours AND THEN want to be acknowledged for doing something that you should?!

I have said the same when some minister goes and visits some natural disaster site in Pakistan...Man its their JOB they SHOULD do it...and not do it like some "ehsan" or some big deal!

I am not talking about Center state but Kashmiri Velly) people and others.
I too dont have much love left in me for those self centred people ..but i dont want centre( collective of us) to behave like that

Interesting question whether a hypothetical "independent" Kashmir would be able to deal with disasters of this magnitude.. Say if Pakistan and India don't blink an eye.

Good point. I think an independent Kashmir will have support from Pak and India, who will be bending over backwards to win there.

We are praising them for a job well done. Pakistanis are also praising their army for their rescue efforts. We also praised the IA and IAF when they averted a catastrophe in Uttarakhand last year, by carrying out the largest heliborne evacuation in peacetime. Not because we need to "claim" Uttarakhand, since it is well and truly ours, just like Jammu-Kashmir is well and truly ours.

BTW there is nothing wrong in acknowledging somebody for doing their job well.

Remember the civilian football matches and the trophy celebrations? In the end the whole place would sing Jana Gana Mana.
Let's call them "efforts", not "tricks".

No...that is not what I am addressing I am addressing to the dancing and mocking of the Kashmiri people of how they hate you and so on ....Of course it is the army's job to work wherever your territory spans and yes they should be acknowledged for a job well done...

BUT my question was regarding some other cheering going on ...

yes, when you hate someone so much how you can accept their help ? it make you to into haram way isn't ?

Army is also made of Human, when you hate people so much, then Army personal also take less pain for the same people cannot want to put their own lives at risk for the people who throw stones at them.

But Army show the excellent example of human face and show no difference to those hate morgons.

I wonder where are all stone throwers now? why aren't they helping? why they run away when times comes? So its time to praise the Army for this.

Nobody is mocking Kashmiri people. We are using every resource at our command to save Kashmiri people, and we are cheering the fact that tens of thousands have been rescued already. There is no "they" as I said before, just us - we are saving our people who were caught up in a natural calamity.

There are a few separatists who do hate India, but they too are being rescued by our armed and civil defence forces. For example, here is the big daddy of them all, the chief of the Jammu-Kashmir "Liberation" Front being rescued from drowning by Indian forces:

This is how we treat even Indians who advocate separatism and used to do armed seperatism against us. How would the Pakistani state treat the chief of a separatist group like the BLA? Ah yes, send a missile on them like you did on Bugti. That's the difference between you and us. We tolerate even dissent and protect the dissenters, as long as they don't shoot at us. But every Indian life is precious to us.

What question do you have regarding the cheering going on? We are only celebrating two things:

1) The stupendous rescue effort being carried out by our people to save our people.
2) The impotence of Pakistanis and separatists to be there in times of needs for the people they supposedly care for, and the efficiency and humanity of the entity they wrongly perceive to be oppressors. We are laughing at Pakistanis and some seperatists, NOT at Kashmiris. Because laughing at ourselves makes no sense.

Any further questions?

Ok all the rest is fine but point 2 was not necessary...we are all for whatever the people of Kashmir want....Plus we have rescue missions going all over where there is flood....the Kashmir part belonging to India is in floods why is Pakistan dragged in? the usual hit below the belt?

I can also point out your tolerance...We are all for an independent Kashmir if they ask us anything we provide be it missiles or whatnot ...how they use them is up to them!

OK, let me clarify. We are not laughing at Pakistanis in general, who are also undergoing a difficult time like us. And if the PA is doing a good job of rescue and relief, then I applaud them as well.

We are only laughing at those Pakistanis who used to believe that Kashmir is not part of India, and that the people there ought to be part of Pakistan, and that Indians "oppress" Kashmiris and kill them by the millions and billions and all those fairy tales. When the fecal matter hits the fan, it is Indians who rush to help them - not separatists. The Indian army will shed the last drop of their sweat and blood to save Kashmiris - far from oppressing them or raping them or burying them in mass graves, as Pakistanis allege. We are only laughing at how the IA's actions stand in such stark contrast to Pakistanis' rhetoric. IA always have been, and continue to be saviours of Kashmiris - whether from terrorists and separatists, or from nature's fury.

The NCC song sings about Kashmir, that "sadiyon se hamne isko apne khoon se paala hain."

The only ironic comedy amid this massive tragedy is the plain proof that IA does not hate Kashmiris or kill them en masse.

I don't quite understand what that has to do with our tolerance, but you might notice that they are NOT asking you to provide missiles. All they are asking is to leave them alone, and not send unemployed Punjabi jihadis from LeT and such groups to sneak into Kashmir and cause trouble for them.

If you do want to provide arms to the handful of separatists, by all means go ahead and try. It's not a new thing for us - where did those terrorist groups get arms from before? Not from Russia or USA! We have quelled that insurgency, and ruptured the Pakistan aided networks, and also put up a fence and CI grid in place. Go ahead and try.
