Turning point in Kashmir

They will eat from our hands and then kill us.

It will be interesting to see whether they are able to appreciate the work of army and liberal aid by Indian government. If they back to that stone platting and constitution burning, than they are beyond repair.

There is no "they". Only "we" and "us".

When we Say "We and us" and get the response "you and us" the other side response will automatically be "you and us" over a period of time.

There is no "other side" on this side of the border. That's my point. Everybody living legally within India's territorial boundary are Indians, whether they (I apply that word to every Indian) like it or not, whether you or I like it or not.

BTW, one of the participants is Retd Lt Gen Syed Ata Hassnain, who once commanded that region. He speaks very authoritatively.

Ofcourse I like but when the constitution and national flag are burn on independance day, it shakes my confidence in We and US.

But his tricks worked everywhere but Srinagar. :(

Very sharp mind. Saw him on a few shows and read a few of his articles, comes across as someone with great depth of knowledge, both military & in matters regarding potential problems within the Muslim community.

Interesting question whether a hypothetical "independent" Kashmir would be able to deal with disasters of this magnitude.. Say if Pakistan and India don't blink an eye.

Indeed he is. He was of a scholastic bend of mind, very well read and knowledgeable. He also understood the pulse of the locality, and it is that understanding that helped the IA put a humane face on their counter insurgency forces. For example, it was his idea to remove the main guns from all APCs in CI ops, and other measures to make the army less appear less intrusive and foreboding to ordinary people, while not losing any combat edge against terrorists.
