I agree with you Axa, I think having a lot of unprofessional soldiers are not good today. And in the future, technology will be more and more important to compete and win a war. Those professional army will be supported with a high quality technology. Therefore, that will be enough deterrence and will not be necessary to go for war.

Axa you are very fvcking brilliant but let me say this, elite soldiers like maroon berets aren't growing on trees. they are "elite" troops because they are choosen from commandos. So more maroon berets simply mean lesser quality the troops

You have a point but you miss something. How many million dollar do the unprofessional troops cost Turkiye? They already cost a lot. Would it be better having 200.000 effective professional troops instead of 750.000 unprofessional troops? On the other hand, having professional troops may cost more but the country will be more secure and deterrent. Do not you think?
