Turkish Airpower has a Fifth Generation Aircraft Problem

this kind of huge project will have allways delays every one is aware of it. i am sure at the end we will sucseed because hundred of bae system egeneers are working together wit turkisch engeneers to design and to develop the tfx and more engeneers will come. except engine most subsystems like avionics Radars and weapons are either developed or are in development .
The most important part of a fighter aircraft is engine, It is like the heart .
If you can make an engine you can make a fifth generation fighter .
Many BAE engineers are working together to develop the engine. My question is are they able to design and make the engine without ToT ?

They will not give ToT to Turkey ever it will be assembly. All countries are very stingy about jet technology.

How do you know BAE system engineers will be in hundred who will help Turkish TFX. Can you provide some link to back your statement ?? And I also would ask about the areas where BAE will help TFX project, is that only in design ? Or it include production as well ? Or maybe also some subsystems development. Can you give some light on this ? Thanks

So , are you making it from scratch?
I am not Turkish but I dont think they can for at least probably 2 decades. Chinese struggled on theirs for about the same time and have much more experience then the Turks and large budget and population.

My projection also same , by the year 2040 they will got an engine if it proceed smoothly.

the ceo of tai said this in many videos and reports about the collaboration of hundreds of bae engineers with tai engineers. i think @cabatli_53 can give more information.

The signed Master Agreement covers the pre-design phase, which is a part of the development and production process. During the period in question, the aim is to develop the aircraft, to develop engineering, technology, test infrastructures and certification processes, and to gain capability for combat aircraft design. Together with all stakeholders who take action, the work is increasingly continuing. The Heads of Agreement was signed between TUSAŞ and BAE Systems (England) on January 28, 2017, and the Agreement Report on May 10, 2017. The Cooperation Agreement between TUSAŞ and BAE Systems was signed on 25 August 2017 and entered into force.
At the end of the preliminary design phase, an uninterrupted transition is envisaged for the following periods and stages of the Project.

Chinese is making it on their own with no assistance afaik. The difference is that Turkey already build fighter jets under license so it has some experience, not to mention all the achievement in the field of engines and propulsion in the last couple years. A decade should be enough to create one especially with foreign assisstance.

Bro , I am talking about wholly indigenous Turkish engine. Yes , with foreign assistance they will make the engine by 2030 . By that time Turkish engineers will gather enough experience to make their engine without any foreign assistance. Definitely the quality of Turkish tech products are much more advanced and superior to China or Asian standard . Turkey produced military equipments are NATO standards.
But developing engine is a lengthy process , need a lot of research, testing and money. At least Turkey realised the fact that without their own engine their all achievements are incomplete, contained by various conditions.

Turkiye has enough technology and experience to develop a turbofan Engine which is similar to GE-F110 Engine until 2030-2032 .... ( in 2018 TRMOTOR has started developing turbofan Engine for the TFX projet )

as like TEI-TS1400 (1600shp) Turboshaft gas turbine Engine for Helicopters .... ( in 8 years )
T-625 Helicopter with TS-1400 Engine will be delivered on 29 October 2021

btw GE-F110 engine is license-built in Turkiye by TUSAŞ Engine Industries (TEI) for TAI built F-16 Fighter Jets

and TEI-T700 turboshaft engine ( under license production of GE-700 for T-70 Blackhawk Helicopters )

For fifth generation birds you need engines like F 135 or F 119 . If you invest enough men material and money to fly the bird , my bat is by 2040 . It is a realistic time phase .
