Turkey To Join Coalition Against ISIS ?

American interest in Iraq is?
What is up with the with or against us,cant we be neutral?
That is their policy when they are stuck. Either you sacrifice your interests for theirs or you are against them. It is blackmail in its pure sense.

too late? are they going to attack USA on tomorrow?!!! Don't worry man, Israel and Turkey can act as barriers to stop these animals to go further, and directly threaten the civilized world.

Our so called arab ME partners, and Iran are the ones who created these groups. do you think that they would destroy these groups? NO!!!
Except for Israel, and Turkey(the secular part of turkey), we have no other true partners in ME, rest of ME are bunch of irrational backward crazies.

Yup, I totally agree.

They had no brain at the first place  They have lived like this for hundreds of years and what they do is deeply rooted in their mentality, culture, religion, ... That's what some westerner people cannot understand it, since they have never been in ME, or had not much contacts with them.
And you have been in the middle east and had much contacts with ISIS, are you a defecting member? Or just pulling nonsense from your mouth, like your usual bashing of arabs and Muslims in general.
Maybe you should get busy to take back Karabakh from the Armenians that got in the midst of Azerbaijan, instead of talking about things you know nothing of.

Turkey should consider withdrawing from NATO, since it finds our friendship to be such a burden. We paid for half of Turkey's air defense, we protect Turkey under our nuclear umbrella, we support Turkey's defense industry with large purchases, we grant an F-35 assembly line to Turkey... But it seems all of that counts for nothing.

On the other side of the table, it's less and less clear what value Turkey brings to the alliance, other than Turkey not openly declaring hostilities against us. Turkey does not aid in our campaigns, and it doesn't even passively allow us to use bases there to conduct our own campaigns. Furthermore, it demagogues against us when we act (no thanks to Turkey), and then complains when we do not act.

Help me out, here. Does this look like an alliance to you?

The same USA is supporting Israel way too much than does she for Turkey; but i cannot see what Israel does for USA in return, Do you help me out?

What USA is trying to do is countless failures in the World; Take Afghanistan as an example, and then Iraq, Egypt,Libya, now Syria . There is no democracy in none of those countries, please help me out, WHY? Turkey did warn USA about Syrian groups 2 years ago, and USA ignored. Just as she did in Iraq wars and left Turkey alone to deal with huge Money lost after Iraq wars and left us with safe heaven for pkk terrorists in northern Iraq, Just as she does it again in Syria. After 2 years Obama saw the mistake ,and tries to take action with 2 year-old plan that Turkey put forward... too little too late. Now go there and clean up your own mess instead of covering it with such complaints.

I do not go into a history lecture about Turkey and her role in NATO.

You're partly responsible for our backwardness in defence industry. You never treated us like a real ally, you didn't accepted our demands of high tech defence systems, and when we considered other systems you started whining, despite being the dominant power in Iraq, you never actually helped us in PKK(based in Iraq) problem which was one of our major problems for decades, you literally toyed us in our rivalry with Greece, what is the meaning of granting 400 mbts to Greece while the sole existence of Greek military is to arms race with Turkey ?

Now what exactly we owe you ? its not like we are fond of ISIS but as said its an actual threat for us, they have hostages, and they're ready to infiltrate our borders, now while we put ourself into more danger what we will get in return ? stronger Kurds as you're planning to give them heavy weaponry.

What are you talking about?
What airdefence,those outdated Patriots?
You allow a F-35 assembly line,or is it because of the partnership in the F-35 program?
What are those large purchases,if they were cheaper with the same quality somewhere else you would have bought them there or not?

You know as well as the whole world does that Turkiye is especialy in this case the most important player in the region.
As for the ''passively'' allowing the use of bases, whats passive about that, the ISIS would just kill the Turkish hostages for aiding.
Now lets talk about the current governments stance,im not a fan of Erdogan and he is only trouble for my country.
You should blame Erdogan for all this,we have a big cleanup to do after his departure(if ever).

If the Patriots are worthless, why did Turkey request them?
Do you think the US could have chosen an alternative location for assembly, say, the UK, which contributed far more to the F-35 program?
Do you think the US could not source its military equipment purchases from other countries?

All of the value we provide to Turkey is tangible and quantifiable, but is quickly pocketed and ignored.

As far as Turkey's role in the region, I would agree with you, if Turkey would play that role. For example, instead of waiting around for the US to do something in Syria, why not use its own powerful army? Instead of being blackmailed into passivility by the hostage situation, perhaps Turkey should enter the war to destroy ISIS and prevent future kidnappings. ISIS already declared war through its actions.

And believe me, I do blame Erdogan, but since Turkey keeps electing him, what are we supposed to do about it?

What does it tell you when Turkiye is negative about joining tbe ''coalition''?
Maybe you should take a closer or a different look at the neighbourhood.
Which country would benefit from the elimination of ISIL and on which country would lose?
Think about it.

Do you know that the weapons delievered to KRG was shipped throught incirlik airbase with our goverments approval?
We will start to see captured western weapons in pkk caves in a couple years, the very same weapons that passed legally throught our soil will kill our soldiers, those who call the people traitors are the real traitors, people will look back at these days and hit their heads at the wall, mark my words.

Not only that,we will lose all influence we had/have in the neighbourhood.
There will be more threats then just the PKK.

Do you think that everything the US did for its allies were just free candy? there is no such thing as free lunch, right? Turkey pays/compensates for whatever the US offers us. Just one example; the US is the main mechanic behind the clusterfuck in the ME, and who is paying for it? the US is on the other side of the world, no problem for you guys, but it's your fellow nato member Turkey that has to face an increasing violent and destabilized neighborhood. the US F'ed up the region a decade ago, spent tons of money, destabilized Iraq thus giving space to such groups (plus strengthening/protecting KRG), stopping Turkey from entering north Iraq to hunt pkk, damaged our economy with neighbors, then the US withdrew as if all was good, and then you cry when the project has failed and your interests are threatened now. as the main responsible one, fix what you broke.

Turkey should treat the west just like the west has been treating Turkey since the last few decades; hypocritically, second rate, two-faced, biased and unfair treatment. With 'allies' like the west, Turkey doesnt need to search for potential enemies. Seems it was only Turkey's weak situation in the past which forced us to play along with the west's game, but now that Turkey is trying to go after its own interest/safety, we can see western media belittling Turkey and suggesting Kurds as its pawn in the ME. No offense, but if you consider Turkey an ally, a friend, you will have to take into account Turkey's situation and sensitivities as well.
