from wikileaks I read that during the crises between Turkey and Greece in the 90'ies, the US said that Turkey is a more important ally and if the Greeks push this to a war. They will choose Turkey.

How many launchers are in one battery? Here it says 8:

Here it is implying 12 because it says 48 missile launching vehicle in 1 battery and 198 missiles in container.

There are some secret things proceeding out of our knowledge with this tender bro. At First times, It is introduced that Turkey will order 4+2 battery Long range air defence systems but then, It is increased 8 batteries without any options. After that, It is told by S&H magazine that Turkey will order 12 batteries Long range air defence missile. Raytheon has also ordered a permission from USA congress to sell 12 battery Air defence missiles for Turkey...

and Now, We are talking about 4 batteries...

I don't know but Greece doesn't have capacity to strike Turkey and Turkey won't strike a country like Greece where the main problem of the day is to find food. War between Turkey and Greece was possible in the 90'ies. Nowadays it is not.

You don't understand, China will create the whole system itself. It'll have nothing to do with NATO systems...

You'll also create the whole C&C system for us..

China don't need source codes of NATO C&C system or data links ... just need code API when Chinese building C&C system by following Turkey Army requirement, it's enough for us.

What part of ''Stand Alone'' dont you understand? It will have zero connection to NATO systems in Turkey.

This scenario almost happened in 1994 in so called Kardak/Imia incident, US defused the situation back then, in fact one of the resons to take Turkey and Greece at the same time in NATO was to avoid a war which was highly possible back then, today there is almost no threat of a war between the two countrys, only dogfights from time to time over aegean.

First let me say THANKS ur $3.4-billion USD ... and "Export version" HQ-9 is not PLA's HQ-9, don't forget C&C system will built by Chinese in Turkey !

At last Chinese didn't only develop the HQ-9 for PLA ... soon we will see new missile to replace HQ-9 like on 052D DDGs.

What China has isnt relevant for us, there are NATO patriots in sout east Turkey, the missile itself isnt even so important we want the tech. once we get it we can improve and make different versions just as we need, thanks for tech transfer for such a cheap price, we knew it would be a good choice after the experience of ToT from you for
