TTP commander Umar Khorasani injured in Afghanistan

. .
IIRC he is the one who admitted responsibility for the APS massacre, right? I hope the injury is painful.

Actually, Haqqani and LeT are very much our concern.
We do understand this ...Mukhti Bahini and LTTE were also your concern !

.
You guys are so naive wanting and wishing him a quick death......May he and all his likes suffer a most cruel, slow and painful death in custody of our Armed forces!

.
This is DAWN again ....they wrote a lot of yub yub about Adnan Rasheed been captured as well ....but few ago he was on tape again ....and why it is DAWN only breaking news about the senior cadre of TTP...? Why no other source says the same as DAWN ?

.
Strange i was thinking Haqqanis were our Foes. But currently they are working for isi interests?
Haqqanis were always the "strategic asset" of Pakistan's intelligence agency. The US describes them as the "veritable arm of the ISI". (Google that up.) They are the good taliban, sponsored and funded brazenly by your country.

In this person's case, I agree.

We disbanded the Mukthi Bahini as soon as they liberated their country, and founded a nation. We did not keep them around as "strategic assets". They were an instrument of war for us, and internal resistance movements have always been part of warcraft. The term is "partisan". Check that up.

The LTTE was supported by India only as long as they were serving a noble purpose - defeating Sinhala chauvinists from genociding the Tamil minority. But as soon as they resorted to terrorism, we not only cut all ties with them, but also spent blood and treasure fighting them.

Sorry, but your attempt to pretend moral equivalence with India just does not stand the test of history.

Or so they say. Take a look at this picture, and try to identify the two people:

jalaluddin_haqani_and_hamid_gul.jpg

Your most influential ISI chief with his protege, Mr Haqqani.

BTW yes, quite often ISI functions as a state within a state with no accountability to anybody. Be that as it may, the haqqanis were one of the groups created by the ISI as "strategic asstes" to achieve "strategic depth". As is often the case when Pakistan raises terrorist groups to do what their own forces cannot do, the result is not in Pakistan's favor, and they end up having to battle the very demons they created.

They were our strategic assets during soviet war but i think now ISI isn't funding them.

Keeping strategic assets when and how always depend upon the nature of the conflict, time and interest. You did not disband Mukhtibahini ....you transferred them into the public sector and till this day Bangalis are suffering from the puppet government you have installed. LTTE was serving a noble cause ? who the **** are you to determine that within a sovereign state ? Your blood was shed because of your own political turmoil and differences ....and this was not the first time....before Rajive, Indira was dispatched to Hades too but you did not learn the lesson. And one more thing, when you ask me to check the term 'partisan'...be careful ....there can be a Naxalite on this forum as well !

That's what I wrote in my post, about Pakistan's short sighted policy of raising terrorists to do what their uniformed forces can't do, and then having to battle them. It's like prescribing a remedy worse than the disease. Until at least 2008, they were your cherished assets. It was only after the APS massacre that Nawaz declared that even they would not be spared.

Taliban are still not a terror faction as per USA.

US says Taliban 'armed insurgency', ISIS 'terrorist' group - The Times of India

Why didn't you whine to Obama in his India visit on this duplicity like you are whining here?

By the way USA also said that at least Pakistan has taken action against the haqqanis and has played its role well.

Hopefully he'll die a slow and painful death(read; kuttay ki maut) like that bastard Shah Douran, who died of gangrene after his injuries in Swat.
