Nazi broke off collaboration with China after the axis pact. Nazi support Japan. China and German collaboration started even before hitler came to power in 1933. Yes there was the first Sino war way back to 1931...

In my eyes ww2 started with the second sino war in 1937 not with the german invasion of poland in 1939 (not that Germany is not guilty for what happend...)
In 1937 with China USSR and Japan a giant part of the world population were already at war... at the moment Russia and Japan fought each other on occopied Chinese ground is for me the moment were ww2 set off..Compared to what has already happen done by Japanese in China the invasion of Poland was a small quick battle, over in weeks...

In 1937 with China USSR and Japan a giant part of the world population were already at war... at the moment Russia and Japan fought each other on occopied Chinese ground is for me the moment were ww2 set off..Compared to what has already happen done by Japanese in China the invasion of Poland was a small quick battle, over in weeks...

I agree you in some level the invasion of manchuria was kind of giving up for war preparation made by Chiang Kai-shek without big battles.but a large land with 33 millions chineses been occupied and slaved,i would not say it WAS a small event!China was a weak country at that moment like Libya or Syria of today, what you can do?!
