    • PM Nawaz felicitates US president-elect over victory
US president-elect Donald Trump, in a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, said on Wednesday he was willing to play any role that Pakistan wanted to find solutions to outstanding problems.

The premier had called Trump to felicitate him on his recent victory, a statement issued by the PM’s House said.

The US president-elect also said it would be an honour for him to do so and he would personally do what was needed.

During the telephone conversation, Trump also praised PM Nawaz Sharif and expressed his desire to meet with him soon. “As I am talking to you Prime Minister, I feel I am talking to a person I have known for long,” he said.

Trump added that Pakistan was a fantastic country with tremendous opportunities and that Pakistanis were some of the most intelligent people.

Trump also accepted PM Nawaz’s invitation, saying he would love to visit Pakistan and meet its people.

Earlier, Trump had said that if elected, he’d like to mediate between India and Pakistan because the region was a “very, very hot tinderbox”.

LOL Trump has also picked the first Asian woman. That doesn't say much. Also, Nikki Haley is an American first. Stop calling her an Indian American.

As for Trump meeting NS. Anything is possible in politics. These are two shrewd businessmen. They understand what is required to have a working relationship in the best interest of their respective nations. India can never dictate to any nation how to conduct business with Pakistan. Neither can Nikki Haley. The election season is over now. Time has come for real politics. We are going to play our cards just like Trump is going to play his cards. We will try to find common ground on certain issues which are mutually beneficial to both nations. Pakistan and China are pleased to hear that the Trump administration is keen to tap into one belt one road initiative. The way I see it, Trump is a new man in office and this means an entirely new chapter and beginning. A fresh start. We got nothing to lose. With the Democrats in office Pakistan has suffered enormously. Let's see what a Trump presidency brings for Pakistan.

Nikki Haley is American first, don't expect her ancestral heritage to change too much wrt US dealings with Pakistan just because of it.

LOL what do you want us to do? She is wearing Indian apparel and has a dot on her forehead. Good for you LMAO Like I said, Nikki Haley cannot do sh!t to Pakistan. We have played our cards very well. If talks with Trump go well good. If they don't no problem. It won't affect us much.

Ofcourse she comes american first, but i respond to a guy claiming as if she have nothing to do with india !

"solve" I would word it "help" only Pakistan and India can solve their problems.
True, he's going to stay away from this one but he'll be fair in his dealings, Pak are way more likely to get those sanctioned F-16s from the US cleared with Trump than they ever would be with crooked hillary.

he might ask Pak to hand over Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed for those F-16s for example.

abikibar Trump sarkar, right ?

.
Trump should work with Pakistan on war against terrorism. This is in the interest of both countries. Also U.S.A and NATO Should keep its soldiers in Afghanistan, otherwise taliban can become big threat for many countries.

Lol i can understand your pain.Pakistan does not have the power as you thing, to play the card well as US relation with pakistan are mainly to do with Afghanistan. That's why many repeated call by your country to US to involve on kashmir issue cannot be succeeded for so many years. US have many other strategic goal against new rival called China.Obama visited twice in india that too a guest on a republic parade, but none in pakistan, during his two terms.

A country will be influential only if it has

1. Money
2. Military power
3. Diplomatic influence and soft power
4. Future prospect of a country
5. Big market for doing business

LOL keep believing in your self made conspiracy tales LMAO Pakistan doesn't solely talk. Pakistan and China have demonstrated to the world how to walk the talk. It is for everyone to see.

Pakistan has evolved way beyond your comprehension. This is not the isolated Pakistan as you like to imagine. We have proved it by doing the unthinkable with our ally China. Today, countries around the world realize Pakistan's potential. Countries are eager to join CPEC/Gwadar because they understand why China has invested billions upon billions despite Indian opposition. India has tried its level best to sabotage China Pak cooperation, but it has been left red faced and humiliated. LOL this ought to tell you where your country stands today. All you can do is fume and share your frustration on a Pakistani discussion forum LOL

LMAO at Afghanistan. Who even cares about Afghanistan anymore? Stop deluding yourself. Opiumland doesn't figure on any agenda. Taliban are calling the shots and the Americans know that at the end of the day they are going to be included into the political fold. Afghanistan holds no meaning nor value to Pakistan or the US for that matter. In case you didn't notice, Afghans are being mass repatriated from Pakistan and the border is being sealed to prevent terror acts on our soil. There goes your Afghanistan argument into the trash bin.

When we meet up Trump we have aces up our sleeve and Trump knows this already. No matter how big and powerful India imagines itself to be, it can never dictate to others how to conduct business vis a vis Pakistan. Pakistan has its own uniqueness, strengths and opportunities. Pakistan and India are two different entities. Deal with it. I know you are butt hurt at this news and trying to bring in Nikki Haley as your savior, but she means nothing.

Pakistan and China have welcomed and appreciated Trump's interest in the one belt one road project. We will make most of the situation. Pak and China will play their cards accordingly. You'll see.

Sone facts for you:
Sharif had to wait for 3 weeks for a telephone call; Modi talked after less than 48 hours of Trump win.

Trump has interests in several projects in India, Trump and his children met Indian business partners a week after his elections. He has no business interests in Pakistan.

Trump has met several Indian Americans and Hindus for his posts.
He recently appointed Nimrata Nikki Haley and Seema Verma as UN Ambassador & Deputy DHHS Secretary.
He is so far not considering any Pakistani Americans for a post.
