Trump seeks 'historic' increase of 9pc in defence spending

For some perspective, this increase would be roughly equal to the entire Russian defense budget.
US seems to have lost the capabilities to build anything without costing billions and then throwing it into production without properly debugging it which then incurred billions more in retrofitting during production.

Like the F -35. Like the Zummalt. Like the LCS. Like the EMAL.

So they need the billions of dollars.

Bad approach . He should've considered any other thing instead of only defence

Trump is trying to lead economic recovery by rearming itself..its an formula..the problem is that once you have rearmed..you cannot have all of this sitting and collecting depreciation..so sooner or later you will go to war..and that means..world war threee!

This is exactly how the Germans got started..in WW2..

You guys ever get tired of saying the same things every yr ? I was invited to this forum back in '09, and every yr, I see the same 'predictions' and 'criticisms' from countries whose situations are far worse than ours. And every yr since then, the US continued to lead the world in medical research, technology, economy, etc, while yours produced next to nothing. I guess if you produce nothing, there is nothing to criticize.

Not much use, rampant corruption and mismanagement, military industry complex corruption to the core to benefit themselves only at the cost of society and tax payers, needless wars every 2 years

plus a common solder charge $200 an hour, a DOD janitor makes 5000 a month. Other country get things done with a fraction of cost.

How is that sustainable when he is lowering taxes?

Russia's new toys PAK FA, T-14, Yasen, Borei, improved Kilo are monsters. Donald Trump must have got scared out of his pants and restarting F-22 and B-2 production and seeking an Ohio replacement.

Not only is Trump sh!tting in his pants you too seem to sh!t as you are describing the Russian toys as monsters.
On second thought didn't you say the Germans have gene mutation in the brain so they can make machines? Why afraid of the Russians?

Intra-governmental holdings stood at $5.35 trillion, giving a combined total public debt of $19.19 trillion. U.S. GDP for the previous 12 months was approximately $18.15 trillion, for a total debt to GDP ratio of approximately 106%.

What a waste of forum's bandwidth with all that text for nothing...

Actually there's no debt ceiling as it keeps on rising each time the debt rises with it. A limitless sky? :argh:
