The Yanks are trying to reign in the dragon. They first straddled it with dependency and now they are using the spurs of tariffs. The dragon will feel the pain and will suffer a little but may overcome if it is fit and strong. Unfortunately the yelping poodles around cannot help but watch in dismay.
China is the world biggest trading nation, industrial nation and manufacturing nation, we don't need to worry about a nation which doesn't produce much now besides printing US dollars, it's time for us to rewrite and global trade rules.

The Amerikan Empire is a toilet paper Empire of the FRN.

Loeb, Warburg, Rothchild and JP Morgan bankers created the FRN and print the FRN to control the worldwide banking system. They print as much as they want and don't report the massive deception of Federal Reserve.

The world of the occult in the States with secret societies is built on worthless paper known as FRNs. Everyone else can't print without end to end up in suitcases to fill the pockets of losers who harass the innocent and kill the good, that is an Amerikan project and the point of the Washington criminals. They are in fact a criminal enterprise, and the printing of toilet paper is at the center of the criminal organization.

The Federal Reserve is as Federal as Apple Computers and as much of a Reserve as a toilet paper company.

The US is going to recognize Taiwan and the time is close. What will China do then? Will she declare war against the US?

perhaps you are not aware.
US "unrecognised " Taiwan. Its not going to re-recognize Taiwan.

This trade war was inevitable at some point. The result would be a formal free trade agreement and free float of China's currency. maybe in 3-4 years. probably before the next presidential elections.

Already retaliated
Cow boy, next?

Everyone is always puzzled about Trump. Is he a genius or a bufoon.

He has China playing his game. Just like he always has democrats playing his game. Even tho I recognise that statement that I myself made. I still dont know if he is a genius or a bufoon.

I think he is a master of knowing, "either you play the game, or you don't" .

Pointless, threaten the Orange monster with selling J-20s to Iran if Washington does not pull all tariffs immediately.

Can China make good on that supply?

That happened before, US didin't recognize P. R China untill 1979. That only means cutting off the diplomatic relationship, it happened with other countries before so no big deal.

Thats not really correct. Formal recognition was in Feb 1972 . "Shanghai Communiqué "

Economic war needs to be fought on economic grounds.

China is already defying the US by increasing oil purchases from Iran. What is more meaningful is that most of EU countries do not as well listen to the US orders.

The most valuable strategic gain China can get from Iran affairs is if the US-Europe alliance is fractured.

War must be grounded on this level.

Selling this or that weapon to Iran is pointless because the US will always out-spend and out-militarize.

Solution of a problem lies in finding and addressing the problem.

The problem in this case is well known to be the manufacturing overcapacity of China. Solution is to increase ( local )demand to absorb that capacity. In some sectors China did indeed do that as we have seen the construction of infrastructure. but in other sectors its been unable to do so. So it dumps its produce on the world.
Since 2006/7 there has been pressure on China from US to increase its currency but China has been dragging its foot for fear of a total collapse. China knew this was coming a long time back. Hence the belt initiative to find newer markets. back at the time it was recognized that if China's economy collapsed as well as other countries ( which were under recession at the time ) it would be harder for the world to stand back up. So Chine was given leeway. But that time has ended.

The Belt projects will help China offset some damage but I think at the rate of projects, China is still simply unwilling to address the issue of overcapacity.

China needs to improve its own markets , I believe it was a huge mistake on China's part to retaliate and they simply got suckered in due to Trumps demeanor and they keep retaliating, why i am not sure. Really, They are behaving JUST LIKE TRUMP! They must realize that Trump is all in at this point in time.

So who will be the bigger loser when all trade is Tariffed? Sure China can move some production to other countries and then they may re-export to US without tariffs. But that would mean they will actually create competition for themselves and not really address the core problem. I mean really, most of China's export products can be made in any other country. Most already are made in many other countries as well.

If they hadn't retaliated , they would have had a longer timeline to finish the belt and road programs And the Value of renminbi would have increased naturally and the whole fiasco would have been avoided. It really was easy to do it.
Just call Trump crazy and say we'll wait for a saner person to come to power. Now they have handed Trump the second term.

Are you sure? As far as republicans are concerned they are on the same page with trump on this. Do you understand what that means?

The rhetoric in Pakistan is not what the world operates on.

As the world biggest trading nation, shipping nation, industrial nation and manufacturing nation with the market of one fifth of the humanity, why China should worry about a nation which basically produces nothing now? In the long run, losing the market of one fifth of an increasingly wealthier humanity spells death for any economies.

US always believes that they are a huge market, they forgot China is not only the world biggest manufacturer, she is also a potentially much much bigger market than US, it's hard for any countries to survive without this market.

So China is the world top manufacturer as well as the biggest market, who will lose in the long run?

Trump is only helping China taking over the leadership of global trade and pushes everyone into China's arms, the future trade rules will be written in Beijing and transactions will be conducted with RMB, China should really thank Trump 5-10 years from now.

What is China's biggest export market? I am guessing its the USof A.
Also Yes China has the biggest manufacturing base in the world. Also China is NOT the biggest market *yet* . "Potential" is unrealised .
re-red my post please. upi will understand what my point of view was. its pretty much what you said with minor differences.

Yes Trump does really want China to take a greater leads in trade. this is not a cynical remark.
