National security adviser H. R . McMaster is continuing to fill out his national security staff with conservative foreign policy experts from the establishment think -tank world, preferring them to the military intelligence types favored by his predecessor , retired Gen . Michael T . Flynn .
Two White House officials confirmed that McMaster has offered the post of senior director for South and Central Asia to Lisa Curtis, a well-known conservative expert and senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation . Curtis has accepted the offer and is going through the entry process now . Curtis has been a leading voice on the GOP side of the South Asia expert community for decades , having worked at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, as an adviser to the State Department during the George W . Bush administration and as an analyst with the CIA .

It is really not too significant when we already do not have a very pro-Pakistani president in US
Moreover, Kashmir is not something we will just give up like that. All this may result in is an increase in statements from the US state department favoring India over Pakistan

Few Months back she was invited to visit Kashmir where she met with senior BJP officials as well as top officers of Indian Army's Northern Command.
She paid a visit to villagers who were victims of Pakistani shelling on LoC.

During her long visit to India, when she also visited Jammu and Kashmir, Lisa Curtis met top functionaries of the Modi Government and the BJP top brass. Those strongly supporting her appointment include the party’s all-important General Secretary and an architect of the PDP-BJP Government in Jammu and Kashmir, Ram Madhav.
“Curtis has a strong support from South Block to the National Security Council. We believe that the Indian diplomacy managers have campaigned for her appointment as Assistant Secretary South and Central Asia. What Robin Raphel (1993) was to Pakistan, Lisa Curtis is to India”, said a senior diplomatic source. He, however, put in a caveat that her appointment was yet to be approved by the new Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson.
Immediately after the Republic Day ceremonies in Jammu, Curtis met Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, a number of BJP leaders. She also visited Udhampur and held an extensive interaction with senior Army officers at headquarters of Northern Command. Sources said that the Government also arranged her visit and meetings with victims of the cross-border shelling on this side of International Border and LoC.

Wait for the day when "Enhanced Partnership with Pakistan Act of 2009" is scrapped, you will surprised how drastically the politics in Pakistan will change if ever that happen. :)

America is not the god of the world. Russians , I am sure , apart from China will be eager to fill up the void created by scrapping of any Acts, so as not to tip off the balance of power in South Asia heavily in India's favor

Moreover, US cannot ignore the significance of Kashmir for Pakistan so it would never make statements that would only end up embarrassing themselves. There are far more considerations for the Super power(s) than mere reliance on words from some advisers who keep soft corners for certain camps

Wishful thinking, nothing more than that. LOL :p:

Russia neither have the economic capacity nor the will Russia support Pakistan at the expense of India at present. And nobody (except China, which is highly unlikely) can provide Pakistan with the amount of funds that the U.S.A is giving you at present as part of "Enhanced Partnership with Pakistan Act of 2009". Just wait for the day when this act is scrapped, then we can discuss about the consequences of the same here in PDF then. :p:

Isolated? The 3 & 5th largest economy in the world? Lol

According to this forum, India was isolated because no other nations publicly backed India on Jadhav lol

Some people really believe these kind of stuff which is worrying.
