With the ongoing hostilities between India and Pakistan , the treatment of POWs becomes important.
A small anecdote from a family friend who retired at a senior position from the army.
A sikh jat officer , he was taken prisoner by the chinese during the border conflict and spent 4 months as a POW.
His experience was that the officers were deliberately humiliated by the chinese in front of the jawans . Some type of pysch warfare.
The chinese were also heavily into indoctrination of the captured soldiers .
Any professionals with their experiences first or 2nd hand on this site as POWs ?
We would all like to think that our soldiers behave humanly but what are the facts on the ground ?
