i have tried many things. the best so far has been enbrel shots.
Enbrel (R) (etanercept) is a treatment for moderate to severe plaque psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis, and psoriatic arthritis.

WTH?

Then luckily it happened that I was staying in Malir Cantt in Karachi and I came across clinic of a homeopathic lady doctor in Cantt bazar there, I was fed up my worsening condition so just to try something different I went inside and let that doctor examine me. She told me she will have my medicine ready (a 15 days dosage) tomorrow. So went next day the medicine was ready and she added some drops to it with reciting "Darood Sharif" and believe me that worked like a miracle, all skin problems gone in 15 days and thanks to ALLAH never happened again.
Yaar you developed the condition I was born with it :(

And I have tried Homeopathic too...My mom left no stone un-turned

Yours was mild...glad you got fixed :)

Mine is this:

Atopic dermatitis (AD) also known as atopic eczema or eczema is a type of dermatitis, an inflammatory, relapsing, non-contagious and itchy skin disorder. It is often chronic in nature. In children under one year of age much of the body may be affected. As they get older the back of the knees and front of the elbows are the most common area for the rash. In adults the hands and feet are most affected.

The cause is believed to involve a number of factors including: genetics, immune system dysfunction, environmental exposures, and difficulties with the permeability of the skin

It is made of oat and seedweed (2 ingredients I have heard about regarding this case) ....I think I should go dip myself in oatmeal...

My doc had recommended some body wash....it didnt help I used it for 2 yrs and it didnt improve my condition but it wasnt oat based hence this thread .....

Thanks for the info

I heard of blackseed oil in fact in my BSc I wanted to start a project but my supervisor had probs with the lecturer who was teaching food microbiology (and who could set up this project) :(

@Akheilos , I have heard raw garlic sometimes benefits eczema. Take 1-2 cloves per day.
Are you insane....I dont wanna have bad breath for life :cray:

. . .
Yea we have established its antibacterial and immuno properties...but eating it raw ...nasty!
One of my family member's blood pressure came to near normal after taking a clove a day. I know it smells. You can also buy cured garlic . see if its available where you live.

Hmmmmm then there is only one choice left ....................................... next time when you happen to visit Pakistan, visit a place called Kalar Kahar near Chakwal. Do some type of Ganga Ashnan there ............ I don't know if you have heard of "Gandak wala pani" that place has some water with whatever chemist call this Nitrogen compound some sulphate or whatever, I have seen people with skin problems using that water and heard some success stories, I have not tried it myself but still, may be that would work INSHALLAH who knows, plus that place is tourist resort too with peacocks. Or try some Wazeefa?

People dont worry about my condition Alhamdulillah I have come to common terms about it...since I know it isnt going anywhere...But I am interested to know if oatmeal and fish oil can help...Could be a good research if not already done :)

Auntyji , it stabilizes BP.

@Akheilos I personally have tried a few gharailo totkas but nothing worked in my case. Heard about oat application, don't know about its efficacy.

Fucicort is what I use personally and it's very effective. Sebamed products also help keep skin protected.

Ahhh...Yea I sometimes use almond oil but so far it hasnt done miracles...esp nothing with the face I dont apply any oil on the face it kind of initiates more itching before long I feel like a baboon....

I have tried reading some doa - I think it was Prophet Ayub A.S. 's doa...

Almond oil wont work.

Yaar I have been massaged with tarih mireh ka oil -you know that smelly thing that gives you nightmares - genius idea of phuppi...but sad to say I was at the age when I kinda grew out of the skin condition significantly and now aunt goes and tells people it works :cray:

Oh I have used fucicot - when I was younger and when eczema was on my legs and around my nose and ears

But now I have it under my eyes and on my eyelids as well as on my forehead. You see the doc doesnt allow me to use anything on my face and eyes saying there are sensitive nerves near the eyes and the skin is relatively softer/ thinner....So using steroids there would have a bad effect on my eyesight ...that is why I am looking for herbal stuff :(

Fucicort® contains two different types of medicine. One medicine is called fusidic acid. It is a type of antibiotic. The other medicine is called betamethasone valerate. It is a type of corticosteroid (steroid). These two medicines work at the same time in different ways. Fucicort® works by: • The antibiotic killing germs (bacteria) that cause infections. • The corticosteroid reducing any swelling, redness or itchiness of your skin.

Kuch nahin. It helps to know it has a pharmacologic effect.
Spoken like Dr. Gregory House ;)
