টানা তিন দিনের ছুটিতে সিলেটে পর্যটকদের ঢল নেমেছে। সাপ্তাহিক দুই দিনের ছুটির সঙ্গে বড় দিনের ছুটি যুক্ত হওয়ায় দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে সিলেটে বেড়াতে এসেছেন ভ্রমণপিয়াসীরা। ফলে হোটেল, মোটেল ও গেস্ট হাউসে সিট পাওয়া অনেকটা কঠিন হয়ে পড়েছিল।
শুক্র ও শনিবারের সঙ্গে রোববার বড়দিনের ছুটি থাকায় এই তিন দিন পর্যটকদের ভিড়ে পর্যটনকেন্দ্রগুলো অনেকটা জনারণ্যে পরিণত হয়েছিল।
সিলেটের জাফলং, সাদা পাথর, রাতারগুল, লালাখাল, বিছনাকান্দি, পান্থুমাই জলপ্রপাত হবিগঞ্জের কমলারানীর সাগর দীঘি, সাতছড়ি, রেমা কালেঙ্গা বন্যপ্রাণী অভয়ারণ্য মৌলভীবাজার জেলার মাধবকুণ্ড জলপ্রপাত, হাকালুকি হাওর, মাধবপুর লেকে ছিল হাজার হাজার দর্শনার্থীর ভিড়।
একসঙ্গে এত পর্যটক সিলেটে আসার কারণে সিলেটের হোটেল-মোটেলে সিট পাননি অনেকেই। সিলেট হোটেল-মোটেল অ্যান্ড গেস্ট হাউস মালিক সমিতির সভাপতি এটিএম শোয়েব বলেন, শুধু সিলেট নগরীতেই প্রায় ২০ হাজার পর্যটক এসেছিলেন। ফলে অধিকাংশ হোটেলেই সিট মেলেনি।
কুষ্টিয়া থেকে সাদা পাথর দেখতে আসা লাবনী আক্তার মিম যুগান্তরকে বলেন, টানা তিন দিনের ছুটি তাই পরিবারের সবাই সিলেটে এসেছি। জিন্দাবাজারের হোটেল ব্যবসায়ী তারেক জামান বলেন, তিন দিনের জন্য হোটেল অনেকটা ফুল বুকিং ছিল। এতে দীর্ঘদিনের মন্দাভাব কাটিয়ে সিলেটের পর্যটনে যেন প্রাণ ফিরেছে।
সিলেটের হযরত শাহজালাল (র.) ও হযরত শাহপরান (র.) মাজার, গোয়াইনঘাটের বিছনাকান্দি, জাফলং, কোম্পানীগঞ্জের ভোলাগঞ্জ সাদা পাথর, জৈন্তাপুরের লালাখাল, সুনামগঞ্জের তাহিরপুর ও মৌলভীবাজারের শ্রীমঙ্গলসহ বিভাগের সব পর্যটন স্পটে গতকাল রোববার বড়দিনে পর্যটকদের ঢল নামে।
পর্যটন খাতের ব্যবসায়ীরা বলছেন, অল্প সময়ের ছুটিতে অন্য দেশে যাওয়া ঝামেলাপূর্ণ হওয়ায় দেশের অভ্যন্তরে ভ্রমণের হার বেড়েছে। সিলেটের জনপ্রিয় সব পর্যটন গন্তব্যে এখন উপচেপড়া ভিড়। অতিথিতে পরিপূর্ণ হয়ে উঠেছে হোটেল-মোটেল ও রিসোর্ট। বহুদিন পর পর্যটক সমাগম হওয়ায় আনন্দিত পর্যটনসংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যবসায়ীরা।
জানা যায়, সপ্তাহখানেক আগে থেকেই নগরীসহ পর্যটন স্পটের হোটেল-মোটেলগুলোর বেশির ভাগই আগাম বুকিং দেওয়া ছিল। কিছু দিন ধরে হোটেল ব্যবসা মন্দা গেলেও বর্তমান পরিস্থিতিতে আশার আলো দেখছেন ব্যবসায়ীরা। গত শুক্রবারই সিলেট বিভাগে প্রায় কয়েক লাখ পর্যটক ভিড় করেছেন। বড় দিনে এই সংখ্যা আরও বেড়ে যায় বলে জানিয়েছেন সংশ্লিষ্টরা।
জাফলং বেড়াতে যাওয়া পর্যটকদের সিলেট-তামাবিল সড়কের যানজটে পড়ে ভোগান্তি পোহাতে হয়েছে। বিশেষ করে সিলেট শহরতলীর শাহপরান গেটে পর্যটকবাহী গাড়ির চাপে দীর্ঘক্ষণ আটকে থাকতে হয়।
সিলেটের সর্বত্র এখন পর্যটকদের বিচরণ। তাদের আনাগোনায় যান চলাচল স্বাভাবিক রাখতে ট্রাফিক পুলিশকে বাড়তি চাপ সামলাতে হচ্ছে। সিলেটের বেশির ভাগ হোটেল-মোটেলের কক্ষ আগাম বুকিং হয়ে গেছে। তাই থাকার জায়গা খুঁজতে গিয়ে বিপাকে পড়তে হচ্ছে অনেককে। বিপুলসংখ্যক পর্যটকের উপস্থিতিতে নিরাপত্তায় নজরদারি বাড়িয়েছে ট্যুরিস্ট পুলিশ।
কোম্পানীগঞ্জ সংবাদদাতা জানান, অপার সৌন্দর্যের মুগ্ধতায় সিলেটের কোম্পানীগঞ্জ উপজেলার ভোলাগঞ্জ সাদা পাথর দেখতে এখন পর্যটকদের বাঁধভাঙা জোয়ার। টানা তিন দিনের ছুটিতে দেশ-বিদেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে আসা হাজার হাজার পর্যটক ভিড় জমাচ্ছেন এই পর্যটন কেন্দ্রে। এতদিন পর আশানুরূপ পর্যটকের আগমন ঘটায় খুশি এখানকার দোকান-রেস্তোরাঁ মালিক, নৌকার মাঝি, ফটোগ্রাফারসহ পর্যটন সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যবসায়ীরা।
পর্যটন সংশ্লিষ্টরা জানান, সারা বছরই সাদা পাথরের সৌন্দর্য দেখতে দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে ছুটে আসেন বহু পর্যটক। তবে বন্যায় আমাদের অনেক ক্ষতি হয়েছে। বাড়িঘরও ক্ষতির মুখে পড়েছে। বন্যার সময় পর্যটক না আসায় আমরা খুব কষ্টে ছিলাম। এতদিন তেমন একটা পর্যটকের আগমন না ঘটলেও সাপ্তাহিক ছুটি ও বড় দিন উপলক্ষে টানা তিন দিনের ছুটি থাকায় ব্যাপক পর্যটকের সমাগম ঘটেছে সাদা পাথরের। সব মিলিয়ে দীর্ঘদিন পর সাদা পাথর পর্যটন কেন্দ্রে ফের সুবাতাস।
শনিবার সকাল থেকে বিকাল পর্যন্ত ঘুরে দেখা গেছে, সাদা পাথর পর্যটন কেন্দ্র লোকে লোকারণ্য হয়ে পড়েছে। উপচেপড়া ভিড়ে নৌকা ঘাটে নৌকার জন্য দীর্ঘ লাইনে অপেক্ষা করতে হচ্ছে পর্যটকদের। জিরো পয়েন্টে আগত পর্যটকরা ছবি তোলা, স্বচ্ছ পানিতে ছোট ছোট টায়ারে হৈ-হুল্লোড়, আড্ডা, বেঞ্চিতে বসে সময় কাটানো এবং উজান থেকে নেমে আসা জলে গাঁ ভাসিয়ে উপভোগ করছেন তাদের ভ্রমণ।
ঢাকা থেকে আসা পর্যটক মিলি চৌধুরী বলেন, সরকারি ছুটি পেয়ে পরিবার নিয়ে এখানে এসেছি। সাদা পাথর এত সুন্দর ভাবতেই পারছি না। খুব আনন্দ উপভোগ করেছি।
বাবা-মায়ের সঙ্গে বেড়াতে আসা শিশু রূপম, মীম বলেন, এখানে নদী, পাহাড়, সুন্দর সাদা পাথর আছে- এজন্য খুব ভালো লাগছে।
কুষ্টিয়া থেকে আসা আরেক পর্যটক অভি বাড়ৈ জানান, পাহাড়ের গা ঘেঁষা সাদা পাথর স্পটটি খুব সুন্দর। বারবার এখানে ছুটে আসতে মন চায়।
ভোলাগঞ্জ সাদা পাথর পর্যটন স্পটের নৌকার মাঝি তারেক আহমদ বলেন, পর্যটকদের নিয়ে ছুটে চলাতেই আমার আনন্দ ও আয়-রোজগার। বন্যার পর থেকে পর্যটক কমে যাওয়ায় খুব কষ্টে ছিলাম। কয়েক দিন ধরে সাদা পাথরে প্রতিদিন অনেক পর্যটক আসছেন। আশাকরি এ কয়দিন ভালোই আয় হবে।
কোম্পানীগঞ্জ ফটোগ্রাফি সোসাইটির সাধারণ সম্পাদক কবির আহমদ বলেন, দীর্ঘদিন পর সাদা পাথরে ব্যাপক পর্যটকের সমাগম ঘটেছে। ফলে আমাদের ফটোগ্রাফারদের আয় অন্য সময়ের তুলনায় দুই-তিনগুণ বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে।
পর্যটকদের ভ্রমণ নিরাপদ ও আনন্দদায়ক করতে সব ধরনের নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হয়েছে বলে জানান কোম্পানীগঞ্জ থানার ওসি সুকান্ত চক্রবর্তী। তিনি বলেন, সাদা পাথর ঘাট ও জিরো পয়েন্টে পুলিশ মোতায়েন রয়েছে। পর্যটকদের নিরাপত্তার জন্য সবধরনের পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হয়েছে।

Tourists related to tourism are happy because of the arrival of tourists after many days.
It is known that most of the hotels and motels in tourist spots in the city were booked in advance a week before. The hotel business has been depressed for some days, but the businessmen are seeing the light of hope in the current situation. Last Friday, about a few lakhs of tourists flocked to Sylhet division. সিলেটের সর্বত্র এখন পর্যটকদের বিচরণ। তাদের আনাগোনায় যান চলাচল স্বাভাবিক রাখতে ট্রাফিক পুলিশকে বাড়তি চাপ সামলাতে হচ্ছে। সিলেটের বেশির ভাগ হোটেল-মোটেলের কক্ষ আগাম বুকিং হয়ে গেছে। তাই থাকার জায়গা খুঁজতে গিয়ে বিপাকে পড়তে হচ্ছে অনেককে। বিপুলসংখ্যক পর্যটকের উপস্থিতিতে নিরাপত্তায় নজরদারি বাড়িয়েছে ট্যুরিস্ট পুলিশ।
কোম্পানীগঞ্জ সংবাদদাতা জানান, অপার সৌন্দর্যের মুগ্ধতায় সিলেটের কোম্পানীগঞ্জ উপজেলার ভোলাগঞ্জ সাদা পাথর দেখতে এখন পর্যটকদের বাঁধভাঙা জোয়ার। টানা তিন দিনের ছুটিতে দেশ-বিদেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে আসা হাজার হাজার পর্যটক ভিড় জমাচ্ছেন এই পর্যটন কেন্দ্রে। এতদিন পর আশানুরূপ পর্যটকের আগমন ঘটায় খুশি এখানকার দোকান-রেস্তোরাঁ মালিক, নৌকার মাঝি, ফটোগ্রাফারসহ পর্যটন সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যবসায়ীরা।
পর্যটন সংশ্লিষ্টরা জানান, সারা বছরই সাদা পাথরের সৌন্দর্য দেখতে দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে ছুটে আসেন বহু পর্যটক। তবে বন্যায় আমাদের অনেক ক্ষতি হয়েছে। বাড়িঘরও ক্ষতির মুখে পড়েছে। বন্যার সময় পর্যটক না আসায় আমরা খুব কষ্টে ছিলাম। এতদিন তেমন একটা পর্যটকের আগমন না ঘটলেও সাপ্তাহিক ছুটি ও বড় দিন উপলক্ষে টানা তিন দিনের ছুটি থাকায় ব্যাপক পর্যটকের সমাগম ঘটেছে সাদা পাথরের। সব মিলিয়ে দীর্ঘদিন পর সাদা পাথর পর্যটন কেন্দ্রে ফের সুবাতাস।

বাবা-মায়ের সঙ্গে বেড়াতে আসা শিশু রূপম, মীম বলেন, এখানে নদী, পাহাড়, সুন্দর সাদা পাথর আছে- এজন্য খুব ভালো লাগছে।
কুষ্টিয়া থেকে আসা আরেক পর্যটক অভি বাড়ৈ জানান, পাহাড়ের গা ঘেঁষা সাদা পাথর স্পটটি খুব সুন্দর। বারবার এখানে ছুটে আসতে মন চায়।
ভোলাগঞ্জ সাদা পাথর পর্যটন স্পটের নৌকার মাঝি তারেক আহমদ বলেন, পর্যটকদের নিয়ে ছুটে চলাতেই আমার আনন্দ ও আয়-রোজগার। বন্যার পর থেকে পর্যটক কমে যাওয়ায় খুব কষ্টে ছিলাম। কয়েক দিন ধরে সাদা পাথরে প্রতিদিন অনেক পর্যটক আসছেন। আশাকরি এ কয়দিন ভালোই আয় হবে।
কোম্পানীগঞ্জ ফটোগ্রাফি সোসাইটির সাধারণ সম্পাদক কবির আহমদ বলেন, দীর্ঘদিন পর সাদা পাথরে ব্যাপক পর্যটকের সমাগম ঘটেছে। ফলে আমাদের ফটোগ্রাফারদের আয় অন্য সময়ের তুলনায় দুই-তিনগুণ বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে।

সিলেটের জাফলং, সাদা পাথর, রাতারগুল, লালাখাল, বিছনাকান্দি, পান্থুমাই জলপ্রপাত হবিগঞ্জের কমলারানীর সাগর দীঘি, সাতছড়ি, রেমা কালেঙ্গা বন্যপ্রাণী অভয়ারণ্য মৌলভীবাজার জেলার মাধবকুণ্ড জলপ্রপাত, হাকালুকি হাওর, মাধবপুর লেকে ছিল হাজার হাজার দর্শনার্থীর ভিড়।
একসঙ্গে এত পর্যটক সিলেটে আসার কারণে সিলেটের হোটেল-মোটেলে সিট পাননি অনেকেই। সিলেট হোটেল-মোটেল অ্যান্ড গেস্ট হাউস মালিক সমিতির সভাপতি এটিএম শোয়েব বলেন, শুধু সিলেট নগরীতেই প্রায় ২০ হাজার পর্যটক এসেছিলেন। ফলে অধিকাংশ হোটেলেই সিট মেলেনি।
কুষ্টিয়া থেকে সাদা পাথর দেখতে আসা লাবনী আক্তার মিম যুগান্তরকে বলেন, টানা তিন দিনের ছুটি তাই পরিবারের সবাই সিলেটে এসেছি। জিন্দাবাজারের হোটেল ব্যবসায়ী তারেক জামান বলেন, তিন দিনের জন্য হোটেল অনেকটা ফুল বুকিং ছিল। এতে দীর্ঘদিনের মন্দাভাব কাটিয়ে সিলেটের পর্যটনে যেন প্রাণ ফিরেছে।
সিলেটের হযরত শাহজালাল (র.) ও হযরত শাহপরান (র.) মাজার, গোয়াইনঘাটের বিছনাকান্দি, জাফলং, কোম্পানীগঞ্জের ভোলাগঞ্জ সাদা পাথর, জৈন্তাপুরের লালাখাল, সুনামগঞ্জের তাহিরপুর ও মৌলভীবাজারের শ্রীমঙ্গলসহ বিভাগের সব পর্যটন স্পটে গতকাল রোববার বড়দিনে পর্যটকদের ঢল নামে।

দেশে বিদেশি পর্যটক না বাড়লেও গতি এসেছে অভ্যন্তরীণ পর্যটনে। ধারাবাহিক অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধি ও মাথাপিছু আয় বাড়ায় মধ্যবিত্তের বিশাল একটি অংশ এখন সাপ্তাহিক ছুটিতে বা এর সঙ্গে বাড়তি এক-দুই দিনের ছুটি পেলেই পরিবার, বন্ধুবান্ধব নিয়ে ঘুরতে বেরিয়ে পড়ে। শুক্র-শনি ও বড়দিন মিলে তিন দিনের টানা ছুটিতে দেশের প্রধান পর্যটনকেন্দ্রগুলোতে এবারও মানুষের ঢল নামবে। আবার অনেকে দেশের বাইরেও যাচ্ছে।
এতে অভ্যন্তরীণ ও বহির্গামী পর্যটনে প্রাণসঞ্চারের আশা করছেন খাতসংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তিরা। তবে চড়া হোটেলভাড়া, পর্যটনকেন্দ্রগুলোতে পর্যাপ্ত সুবিধা না থাকা, সেবার মান ভালো না হওয়ায় অনেক পর্যটক বিদেশমুখী হচ্ছে বলে জানিয়েছেন তাঁরা।
বাংলাদেশ ট্যুরিজম বোর্ডের (বিটিবি) প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (সিইও) আবু তাহির মো. জাবের গতকাল বৃহস্পতিবার কালের কণ্ঠকে বলেন, ‘প্যালেসসহ দেশের হোটেলগুলোতে আমি খোঁজ নিয়েছি, এই সপ্তাহে একটি কক্ষও খালি নেই। যে পরিমাণ মানুষ ভ্রমণ করছে, সে পরিমাণ হোটেল-মোটেল আমাদের নেই। এই কারণে ছুটির দিনগুলোতে সমস্যা দেখা যায়। শুধু হোটেল নয়, যাতায়াতের ক্ষেত্রেও বাসে-প্লেনে সিট পাওয়া কঠিন হয়ে ওঠে। এতে বোঝা যায়, দেশে অভ্যন্তরীণ পর্যটক বাড়ছে। দেশে বছরে দুই কোটি মানুষ অভ্যন্তরীণ পর্যটনকেন্দ্রগুলোতে ভ্রমণ করে। এই সংখ্যা এ বছর দুই কোটি ছাড়িয়ে যাবে বলে আশা করছি। ’ তিনি জানান, পর্যটন মহাপরিকল্পনা চূড়ান্ত পর্যায়ে আছে। সেখানে কোন জায়গায় কী পরিমাণ হোটেল দরকার তার একটি পূর্ণাঙ্গ চিত্র থাকবে।
সেন্টার ফর ট্যুরিজম স্টাডিজের চেয়ারম্যান জামিউল আহমেদ কালের কণ্ঠকে বলেন, ‘পর্যটন খাতের দুরবস্থার মধ্যেও অভ্যন্তরীণ পর্যটনের প্রবৃদ্ধি খাতটিকে বাঁচিয়ে রেখেছে। কিন্তু ব্যবস্থাপনার অভাব, নিম্নমানের সেবা ও চড়া মূল্যের কারণে আমাদের পর্যটকদের একটি অংশ বিদেশে চলে যাচ্ছে। সেবার মান ও ব্যয়ের বিষয়টি দেখার দায়িত্ব বেসামরিক বিমান পরিবহন ও পর্যটন মন্ত্রণালয়ের। কিন্তু এ ক্ষেত্রে মনিটরিং নেই বলে ব্যবসায়ীরা এটা করতে পারছেন। ’
বাংলাদেশ ট্যুরিজম বোর্ড সূত্র জানায়, অভ্যন্তরীণ বিভিন্ন পর্যটনকেন্দ্রে দেড় কোটি মানুষ ভ্রমণ করছে। এ বছর সেই সংখ্যা দুই কোটি ছাড়িয়ে যাবে বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে। অন্যদিকে ৩০ লাখের মতো মানুষ প্রতিবছর বিদেশ ভ্রমণ করে, যাদের বেশির ভাগই প্রতিবেশী ভারতে যায়।
বাংলাদেশ পরিসংখ্যান ব্যুরোর (বিবিএস) সর্বশেষ জরিপ অনুযায়ী, ২০১৮-১৯ অর্থবছরেই ২৯ লাখ ২১ হাজার ৫২০ বাংলাদেশি পর্যটক বিদেশে গেছে। তাদের ৬০ শতাংশের বেশি গেছে ভারতে। এ ছাড়া সৌদি আরব (৮.১২ শতাংশ), মালয়েশিয়া (৪.৫৭ শতাংশ), থাইল্যান্ড, দুবাই, আফ্রিকা, নেপাল ও তুরস্কে গেছে তারা। এতে মোট ব্যয় হয়েছে ৩৩ হাজার ৬৮৬ কোটি ৮০ লাখ টাকা। বিবিএসের তথ্য অনুযায়ী, দেশের জিডিপিতে পর্যটন খাতের অবদান ৩.০২ শতাংশ, টাকার অঙ্কে যা ৮০ হাজার থেকে ৯০ হাজার কোটি টাকা। পর্যটন খাতে প্রত্যক্ষ ও পরোক্ষভাবে জড়িত ৪০ লাখ মানুষ।

কক্সবাজার : কক্সবাজার সমুদ্রসৈকতে ২৩ ডিসেম্বর থেকে ৩১ ডিসেম্বর পর্যন্ত হোটেল-মোটেলগুলোতে আগাম কক্ষ বুকিংয়ের হিড়িক পড়েছে। গত সোমবার সৈকত ঘুরে দেখা গেছে, সাগরপারের কলাতলী, সুগন্ধা, সি-গাল ও লাবনী পয়েন্টের বালিয়াড়িতে মাঝারি রকমের ভিড় রয়েছে পর্যটকের।
কুয়াকাটা : ২৫ ডিসেম্বর বড়দিনের ছুটি উপলক্ষে কুয়াকাটায় সব হোটেল-মোটেলের প্রায় সব সিট বুকিং হয়ে গেছে। পদ্মা সেতু উদ্বোধনের পর থেকে পর্যটকের আগমন বৃদ্ধি পাওয়ায় পর্যটনশিল্পের সঙ্গে সম্পৃক্ত সব ব্যাবসায়িক বেচা-বিক্রিও বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে।
সুন্দরবন : সুন্দরবন ভ্রমণের এখন ভরা মৌসুম চলছে। গত শনিবার ২২টি ট্যুরিস্ট লঞ্চ অবস্থান করে পূর্ব সুন্দরবনের শরণখোলা রেঞ্জের কটকায়, যা গত তিন থেকে চার বছরের মধ্যে সর্বাধিক ছিল।
