Top hit TV drama【The Age of Awakening】History of the Chinese communist party

From 1921-1949, the drama tells the story how ideas of communism came to China and first influenced young students while China was in her darkest time in the whole Chinese history, and how patriotic young students saw this new idea could be used to save deeply troubled China. These young men and women were the first communists in China, for their dream they embarked a long struggle, they united, they fought , they died for their dream of a new China and in the end they made this dream come true, after tens of millions of their comrades sacrificed their young lives.

I wanna give this a shoot but I have become more of an Leo Wu fan I watch everything with him. I watched the Long ballad, Nirwana fire and fighting thru the heavens.

My favourite Wuxia remains to this day Swordsman 2013 with Wallace Huo and Joe Chen. Dongfeng Bubai

I do like that writers works Jin Yong his good at building vast worlds over 200.000 characters his ridiculous and there is some touch he puts into his tales I like example ''The Smiling, proud Wanderer'' or ''the return of the condor hero'' These are my favourite of his. The wuxia is much better imo than modern perhaps I am more into ancient settings and the costums.

I don't think I would digest this drama as the subjective is to heavy just from the trailer it self it seems to heavy for me. If it was a wuxia I would have been down..

Anyone whos unfamiliar with Chinese wuxia give it a shoot you won't be disappointed they are great spectecles wtih colors, costoms, nature and epic tales plus they throw alot of money on it from the cinematography and setting designs

I finished half way through this drama and couldn't continue, one of the worst Dilraba Dilmurat's dramas, the supporting girl acts better than her.

It was not her best drama I agree but the supporting girl seemed way to feminine for my liking but I entirely watched it for the leading actor and I thought that was one of his best performance. He gained some muscle mass for this and took it serious

Do you know that Dongfeng Bubai was a transgender? The romance between Ling Huchong and Dongfang Bubai in Swordman 2013 is the same as an LGBT romance, LOL. Luckily, it was Joe Chen who played as Dongfang Bubai, not a real transgender. So our bigot / traditionalist brain still can barely accept them.

But for "The Smiling, Proud Wanderer" adaption, Jet Li's Swordman 2 still the best version for it.

Almost all early CCP top leaders and core members were from upper class rich families, they decided to give up their family wealth, a good material life and to many eventually their own very lives to change China, the country which was in the darkest time in her thousands of years old history, being bullied, abused and ravaged by foreign imperial powers.
Giving up everything you had for a New China, which their ultimate love lied with.

Actually CPC is a most advance political machine in the whole world. The structure is one generation ahead of KMT.

KMT is mafia ++.

So when Sun Yat Sen go to Lenin for help and Lenin send his delegate and take a look at KMT, the USSR delegate think KMT organization is crap.

Then Sun Yat Sen ask USSR to help modernized KMT. They did. But the modernization immediately panic the KMT bigwig. Reason being, now KMT more vibrant and smart members are going for wealth distribution.

It was then followed by 412 purged where KMT decide to massacre all her most idealist members. That effectively destroyed the KMT grassroot. Now KMT regressed back towards mafia++

It will be a matter of time CPC defeat KMT.

The hisotry and the Chinese people gave KMT over 30 years to unite and build up China, they failed miserably and CPC took over the baton and KMT fled to Taiwan. KMT had no one to blame but themselves.
