So, this coming January 29th the Asia case is back in Supreme Court bench. TLP is threatening to take action. Looks like we are going to get trouble. I hope the state crushes TLP if they cause trouble and thus once for all these extremists groups are taught a lesson. What do members think is going to happen?

The capital administration has made stringent security arrangements, including the deployment of paramilitary troops in Islamabad's sensitive areas, as the Supreme Court is set to hear a petition seeking review of its October 31, 2018 verdict of acquitting Aasia Bibi, a Christian woman who was sentenced to death in a blasphemy case.

I hope and pray the situation doesn't get out of hand, If TLP and thier supporters decide to go on rampage, they should be arrested on spot and the intelligence agencies should pre-empt it by conducting house raids to arrest TLP supporters.

If TLP is not willing to listen the truth that Asia bibi already denied the allegation, and there were contradiction among witnesses as SC remarked the verdict.

Then state should have every right to stop the crowd but it would be nice if they are stopped by using water cannon, If they cause troubles.

But if they protest in a peaceful manner, let them do it.

One more thing, make sure that no political party will be able to take political advantage to defame institutions or Govt, just like PMLN workers did during previous protests of TLP.

It is a legal issue more than the "terrorism" and "writ of state" or something. TLP is demanding Shariah Bench on this issue because these judges are simply unfit to hear this case.

If military courts can be established due to inefficiency of current judicial system then why Shariah Court cannot be established for hearings regarding Blasphemy.

Anyone who started this whole episode is responsible if Asia is not responsible. If she committed the blasphemy, the court should order to hang her immediately because it is an unpardonable crime having more lethal consequences as compared to abusing a serving army chief or the ideology of country. But, if she is not guilty then the other party should be made an example for future.

There are words and sentences in this hearing which are blasphemous and attributed to Asia Bibi but if she has not uttered those words then someone other than her uttered or wrote those words in form of a script. That person should be found. This is why Shariah Court is necessary.

I, as a patriot, can never accept Fazullah, Hakeemulah Mehsood or someone other from TTP as an innocent man if he get a clean chit 1000 times from Supreme Court of Pakistan because i know that these courts are not able to hear the cases against terrorists due to the fear and due to the little knowledge about battlefield and the circumstances in which army officers arrest those terrorists and present them infront of judges. Similarly, these judges having traditional knowledge and understanding of law are unfit to hear the Sharai evidence and rules. Ulema or Shariah court judges should be added to a larger bench and all concerned parties should be taken into confidence before commencing the procedure on appeal.

Government itself promised TLP leadership that a larger bench will be made and these judges (controversial) will not hear the review petition and the ulema from TLP will be given chance to present their version in hearing. None of those commitments have been fulfilled by govenrment so far and the TLP leadership is still in jail.

Ulema or Shariah court judges should be added to a larger bench and all concerned parties should be taken into confidence before commencing the procedure on appeal.

This is why I said parliamentarians are responsible for not providing strong judicial constitution, when parliamentarians including opposition & Govt lawmakers and policy makers will decide to amend the judicial constitution in which Ulema or Shariah court judges should be added to a larger bench to commence the procedure on appeal. So only Govt can't do it because it requires 2/3 majority which current govt doesn't have such majority in parliament, especially when opposition is opposing every move of the Govt then Govt can't do this whatsoever.

Before dealing with TLP or Pastheen, we first need to deal with this fake and corrupt opposition in the parliament. They are the real threat but unfortunately the way they are being dealt with bringing them to the parliament in court and tie is nothing but a mockery of the entire justice system of Pakistan.

Rightly said but the issue is the law doesn't say anything about wrongly blaming anyone for blasphemy, thats the reason that there are so many cases because people know that nothing will happen to them for wrongly accusing someone.

I was reading somewhere that majority of the blasphemy cases are based on false claims and in most cases they are done to take revenge on the accused by the accuser.
