Tik Tik Tik : India’s ‘first space film’, see photo !!!

I was just helping you to laugh. Since laughing is good for health. So, I posted a brown dude in space suit.
Come on man, trying to help here.

It's not that he is brown. The reason I'm laughing is because he looks like a gol mol brown guy in space that looks like he just discovered a spice asteroid. Look at the poster. His face doesn't even look serious. It looks likes a comedy film.

Look at his face.

Actor Jayam Ravi is making a mark in the industry with the choice of his films from different genres. The actor on Monday unveiled the first look poster of his upcoming film Tik Tik Tik. The poster shows Ravi hanging onto a rope in the middle of a space accident.

Tik Tik Tik, denoting the sound of a ticking watch, is touted to be India’s first space exploration movie and is directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan, who is known for spinning out commercial entertainers from the genres less explored in Tamil cinema. His previous films include Naaigal Jaakirathai (Beware of Dogs), a cop film which was based on adventures of a trained police dog, and Miruthan that revolved around a break out of Zombie epidemic in Tamil Nadu and it had Ravi in the lead role. Both the films did well at the box office.

It was after the release of Miruthan, Shakti narrated his space story to Ravi, who immediately agreed to come aboard, said reports.

Besides Ravi, Tik Tik Tik also stars Aaron Aziz, Nivetha Pethuraj and Ramesh Thilak in lead roles. The film is produced by Hitesh Jhabak and has music by D. Imman. The makers have spent a great budget on space sets and special effects and are very confident that it will strike a chord with the audience.

“We have explored the space genre in a commercial set up. It’s very challenging to engage the audience when the story shifts to space as there are not too many elements to play with. Our film has no romance and even the songs have been shot as montages but we have elements we think will appeal to everybody,” Shakti was quoted as saying in an IANS report.

The producers have indeed got the audience intrigued by the first look poster. Will they live up to the expectations? One can only tell after the film hits the screens

Buddy as am I! I aint no bloody gora!
Its not the color of the skin as much as what is being flaunted.
If ISRO has not achieved space flight, let alone space walk, a movie based on the same will always leave much to be desired, especially from a technical POV.
Take the movie "gravity" for example. It felt realistic because NASA mans the ISS routinely and the movie had technical help from NASA.
On what parameters is this movie going to be realistic? ISRO does not have experience, technical nor practical.

As a movie buff, I have to say that Indian movies routinely skip on the minute details that in this day and age are very important if youre going to promote a movie about space.

Looking forward to some well choreographed dance moves in space :D

This is how it starts. See the space movies from hollywood in the 50's 60's 70's.
You get better as you go along, but you have to start somewhere.
Besides judging an unseen and yet to be released film by ALL here is pure unbridled hate propaganda.
See it then comment

Let's wait and watch. Jayam Ravi doesnt have much market for big budget movies even though his previous unique try outs have worked.

The Indian astronaut literally looks like he is constipated.

Indians should give him ispaghol ka chilka in his space tube.

. . .
Shouldn't we first get a man to space before we start making movies about it?

be ready for some ridicule, dear producers of this movie.
Americans already sent a man to Mars already in films.

Dream big

Many dreams in movies have become inspiration to scientists

That's one way to look at it.
But again, technical and practical experience of space flight and walk should not be yada yada'd if you know what I mean. The devil is in the details!
