Three Militants Holed Up in J&K's Pulwama, Encounter On

PULWAMA: A gun fight broke out last night between security forces and militants holed up in a village in Pulwama district of south Kashmir, police said.

Security forces said a search operation was launched last night in the Rajpora area based on specific information that three local militants were hiding in the region.

A joint team of the army and police have laid a tight cordon around the area. Concertina wires and search lights were laid around the village of Hajan Balla to stop the militants from sneaking out of the area under the cover of darkness.

The militants hiding in the area opened fire to break open the cordon.

The militants are believed to be locals and include one who is believed to have joined militant ranks on August 19 this year.

The operation was launched last evening but was suspended late last night. The encounter resumed early morning today.

There are no reports of any casualty on either side.

Guerrilla killed in Kashmir gunfight

Srinagar, Sep 2 (IANS): A separatist guerrilla was killed Tuesday in a gunfight between the security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said.

The security forces had cordoned off a house in Hajanbala village in Pulwama Monday night after getting information that a group of three militants were hiding inside, a senior police official told IANS here.

"When the militants were asked to surrender, they started firing at the security forces, which led to an encounter," he said.

"One militant identified as Showkat has been killed."

All 3 terrorists dispatched to hell ...... good work by our security agencies .....

Earlier, the security forces had brought the father of one of the militants to persuade him to surrender. However, there was no response to the surrender offer.

Glad that our forces tried to the maximum limit to make the locals surrender. I think this is the only second such encounter with local militants this year. All those terror rats are mainly from across the border.

As per the SOP, when terrorists are cornered, they are always given the option to surrender. If they don't, only then are they dispatched to Jannat! Like these a$$holes who thought they were supermen from Krypton and could fight the Indian Army!

Reports of 500 jihadi dogs waiting to be sent across the LOC before the winter sets, we must stay on guard!
