Thousands sign up to ban Donald Trump from the UK

LONDON — A petition to block Donald Trump from entering the UK has exceeded 60,000 signatures, as British politicians and the public line up to denounce the U.S. Republican presidential candidate following his latest incendiary statement.

Over 63,000 people have signed the petition, entitled "Block Donald J Trump from UK entry," since Trump said Muslims should be banned from entering the U.S. If it passes 100,000, the petition will be considered for debate in Parliament.


Prime Minister David Cameron dismissed Trump's comments as "divisive, unhelpful and quite simply wrong" while London Mayor Boris Johnson said they were "complete and utter nonsense."

He also laughed off Trump's suggestion that some parts of London are so radicalised that police fear for their lives.

"As a city where more than 300 languages are spoken, London has a proud history of tolerance and diversity and to suggest there are areas where police officers cannot go because of radicalisation is simply ridiculous," he said.

Crime has been falling steadily both in London and in New York. said that Trump's comments amount to "hate preaching." The SNP minister said he should be refused entry to the UK.

Author J.K. Rowling has also weighed in, tweeting her dismay at Trump being compared to Harry Potter villain Voldemort. "How horrible," she said. "Voldemort was nowhere near as bad."

According to the heat map on the petition site, a number of the signatories are from the Aberdeen area of Scotland, where Trump has a huge golf course. Another petition, calling for the TV personality to be stripped of an honorary degree from an Aberdeen university, has also received thousands of signatures.

Overnight, #trumpfacts was trending as much of the UK mocked the candidate's comments on Britain becoming radicalised.

First of all, no chance of him becoming a US president (may be indian but nops not Americas), if this Donald Dumb got nominated for republicans, then mark my words, Hillary Clinton is the next president (that too if she managed to avoid any jail time though).

If you look at the petition page and refresh it every other second, that petition is getting signatures by hundreds every second, not that it may change anything, but it just shows you that people are not as dumb as you may think, (although government and political affairs is a complete different story almost everywhere).

Anyway, i red in some newspapers this morning that David Cameron and some of our political figures even dared intervene to criticize Donald Trump. WTF?? Since when does Britain gets involved openly in U.S internal affairs/Politics/elections campaigns??

What happens during U.S presidential elections is NONE OF OUR BUSINESS, and we should stay clear from it. Even if he was elected president we will be giving him the reddest of carpets welcome. lol So cut the crap about the banning bullshit. As far as i know he is free to express his views as far as he is not calling for the extermination/killing of someone or threatening a persons life then i don't see whats the big issue. After all, we allow many radical extremists Islamist nut-heads/imams here in Britain/Europe to preach hate,killings and Jihad against the very same West they live in OUR OWN COUNTRY/LAND,so what's the big deal with what an American candidate said about temporarily halting Muslim immigration? That's his personal opinion/view, it doesn't endanger/threaten anybody's life as far as i know.

Donald Trump is targeting people base on their religion. We should focus on fighting radical Mulsims instead of all Muslims in general. Most Muslims are allies in fighting the fringe groups. Only a small group of Muslims are extremists that we all should destroy.

True i know that, reason i always say muslim/Isamic EXTREMISTS/RADICALS, since not all Muslims are obviously terrorists(i personally have a few Muslim friends, 3 of my colleagues to be precise and they are very nice/good people).
