This American is Thanking Pakistan for Catching Bin Laden! [VIDEO]

In the OP video, you can clearly see that Rumsfeld is finding it hard to defend Pakistan given the charged environment then. But he used 'however' quickly to rise to defend Pakistan. It was the jerk Leon Panetta who decided to blackmail Pakistan into making concessions in Afghanistan using the OBL raid. Panetta is the architect of the US-Pakistan rift! He was in personal aggrandizement mode, enjoying the limelight. Otherwise, Obama, Hillary, Luger, Hagel, and Kerry were much more soft toward Pakistan.

There are more Rumsfeld videos where he defends Pakistan.

Hi,

Even if Mr Panetta was against pakistan---pakistan still needed to be defended by its generals and defended rightly---.

Dear Mastan,
It is great how you have taken my expression of anger for the Pakistani establishment and connected it to me being a china cutter even though I'm still a student. The point is, that Pakistani generals have not been able to take me into confidence with regards to OBL raid and it will always be a safe guarded secret. Even if Kiyani came out and said that we helped USA, would not be able to take common Pakistanis into confidence. Although it could have sure helped a lot the quote "american media and the american public" and obviously you would know that better. No one cared about the Pakistani people.

Dear Sir, people are extremely touchy with regards to the capabilities of our army. The black hawks came in the night time scores of Kilometers into our territory to takeout the very real or imaginary OBL, shattering the image of Pak Army as a strong force in the minds of people. And you think that Kiyani could convince Pakistanis that we were working with the US to take down OBL who was near the PMA. Why did the Pak army not take down OBL if it knew for itself. Was the frail man too much to handle?
I was in 10th grade when i saw the videos of the smoking compound in Abbotabad early in the morning and I already knew that Kiyani Sahab wont be taking me into confidence. This case of OBL could have been handled in a much different way and the one that I am living with is difficult for me to digest.

I do agree that I would never admit OBL's presence if I knew and would have fought till death and not admit it. But I guess someone did fail to do that in Kiyani's era and then we did not handle the consequent situation. And I still believe that Kiyani could have taken the WEST into confidence but not the Pakistani people.

Hi,

You came in strong like if you knew everything---like you were a professional. If you are a student---then act like one---if you don't know how to defend your motherland then ask and learn---.

But don't confront me and tell me to drop my motherland to the wolves---. Don't tell me to give up my motherland just like that---.

.
This videos means nothing , cause the aggressive Campaign that US launches after the raid was not going to be countered by Pakistan alone, You know Mullah Omar lived and died in Afghanistan few yards away from an American Base ? It is highly possible that Pakistan did not know about OBL presence there, but to me He was not there to begin with . It was all a sham and bogus Operation to bring Obama back in Power , just look at his rating before and after the raid and you will know what I am talking about .

There are many things that we don’t know.
It was all planned by Pentagon and executed with the help of Kayani and Zardari.

Hi,

Thank you very much for posting the video---. Obama clearly stated that it was with pakistan's help that led them to capture OBL.

And yet cowards like General Kiyani General Pasha and Air Chief Marshall Qamar Suleiman kept quiet about their role when the world and indian lobby was lambasting pakistan for " supposedly " hiding OBL.

These 3 generals showed ultimate cowardice in the face of severe criticism and kept quiet---and let pakistan take all the blame and let pakistan be humiliated and degraded in front of the world---.

And yet these generals kept on with their cushy jobs and ended up with their cushy retirements benefits---.

I wrote to Gen Kiyani and Gen Pasha---" you cowards---you let your nation down for not standing up to the allegations hurled at it---if you have an iota of shame left in you---put your hand gun into your mouths and blow out your brains---"---.

The message was delivered---.

Those Generals came to us through a deal from washington. Such were the times when the Army and Civil leadership were picked and sent from Washington and elsewhere.
Times have changed now, hence we get some respect from the likes of Trump as well.
I heard they were doing some court martial against Kiyani and co for the corruption and all. They won't tell leak it out in the public, but I hope justice was served and hope some day these cowards and corrupt assholes are made an example of in front of the public.
We need to stop hiding stuff and have a concept of public shaming.

.
There is no way someone use choppers to deep fly in Pakistan and we ( Security forces don’t know about it ) yet a lot of questions there to be answered but we the nation never ever know what actually the plan was.
The doc who help CIA role ( it Army helped american )
Why a chopper crashed
And why we hiding the truth why we help, may be to save our axxes aftermath of incident to protect land by AQ?
we have too many mysteries hiding by state and this one one of it.
So
Don’t worry a lot more come up in future it’s all a Usual thing no need to scream each other.

Pakistan did help in this matter but this is a generic political statement. CIA and ISI were collaborating in this regard but the two drifted apart under the presidency of Barack Obama. Do you recall the chapter of Raymond Davis?

In fact, CIA does not rely upon ISI for its activities in the region, this is a big misconception. They have technologies to infiltrate and intercept communications across the board, and develop a picture of things in motion.

Operation Neptune Spear was exclusively American, and nothing have surfaced so far to challenge this account. Pakistan's own Abbottabad Commission Report have acknowledged as much and it is by far the most comprehensive account of the event in question.

Conventional military operations are thoroughly scientific affairs since the late 1980s, and US is far ahead of Pakistan in this domain. If YOU have a good scientific understanding of the defenses of a country, and have the ncessary resources to breach them, YOU will succeed in this endeavor. Foot soldiers will not make much difference. Sorry to disappoint you.

If Pakistan helped then Pakistan helped! The drifting away etc arguments have some weight but the basic truth is that Pakistan was not 'harboring' Bin Laden--on the contrary! But the narrative that has stuck in the world is that Pakistan was in cahoot with OBL.
I like you present a more balanced viewpoint but often, as in this case, you are downplaying Pakistan's help, sacrifices and contributions.

Bro, I do not believe and claim that Pakistani establishment was helping Osama Bin Laden escape from the clutches of CIA. This nonsense was promoted by American journalist Seymour Hersh.

In fact, ISI managed to capture another well-known terrorist Omar Patek in Abbottabad on January 25, 2011 - several months before Operation Neptune Spear (ONS). It is just that ISI had not zeroed on Osama Bin Laden yet.

If ISI had zeroed on Osama Bin Laden before ONS, ISI would have taken him out and/or handed him over to the US. This much was officially agreed upon and understood.

Good post. And that is the truth.
Effing OBL did nothing for Pakistan except bringing misery to the region.
