Not really, the Indian farmers deliberately sell these cattle due to the lucrative price from Bangladeshi traders. Price of cattle hits 2 or 3 times the original price after crossing the border.

Recognize the cattle trade as legal and there will be no smuggling, simple.

All we see are Cattle theft and Hindu farmers being killed.

Because farmers in West Bengal are not orthodox Hindus like rest of India. They have no issue with cattle trade.

If something is bought legally, these people don't need to smuggle it. Fact that they are smuggling means illegality.

This is what we are talking about. Innovative steps can stop cattle smuggling abruptly. For example instead for stopping smugglers , simply infect the cattle with Arsenic, Lead, mercury etc. When People start dying due to smuggled cattle, illegal trade will stop. People who do illegal things have no voice. When the risk is felt by the greedy consumer, illegal trade will stop.

Yes it would harm a few, but it will saves lives of millions. Innovative cunning steps are needed. We need to strike at the root. If some people die of contaminated meat, smuggling will stop.

You are right and I have my agenda for posting what I did.
When every mob attack becomes attack by Gow Rakshaks, then for parity, every illegal cattle trade has to a result of a killed Hindu farmer.

This is not about truth but the perception battle. I won't give an inch unless the other side starts saying bit of truth.

And while a lot of farmers do sell cattle, in north, cattle theft is rampant and deaths do happen, just like how lynching's happen.

One thing I would really like an Indian farmer while selling his cow is to make an agreement that his cow is not killed by so called brutal Halal way. Man I have seen this on you tube and was flabbergasted. Doing this on Chicken/Goats also is painful, but they die shortly. But cows take a lot of time to die. In pain. Atleast they could provide some sedative which wont cause pain to animals.
