After negotiations described as standard, the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of India will sign tomorrow the first comprehensive economic partnership agreement, as negotiations between the two sides began in September of 2021.

The signing ceremony will take place during a virtual summit between Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while the official Indian newspapers issued today considered it the first major trade agreement concluded by the latter's government.

The two sides seek to consolidate the bonds of the economic relationship and enhance the non-oil inter-trade to reach 110 billion dollars annually from 59 billion dollars, which is the value of trade exchange between the two countries in 2021, as the UAE is the third economic partner of India after the United States of America and China.

The United Arab Emirates announced in September its intention to conclude similar agreements with eight countries that were not identified by name, but advanced negotiations are currently underway with Indonesia, South Korea, Israel, Turkey, Austria, Georgia, and Ethiopia, and there are leaks that negotiations with Indonesia were also successful, and the Indonesian president will sign the partnership agreement with the UAE in the coming weeks or days, followed by a similar signing ceremony with South Korea.

India has signed a trade pact with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that will reduce import duties on the majority of Indian exports to the country. The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) is the first major trade deal signed by the Narendra Modi government since first coming to power in 2014.

The deal was signed in New Delhi by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and UAE's Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri. While it cuts import duties on a wide range of products, the government expects it to especially boost the export of gems and jewellery, and apparels to the UAE and raise total trade up to $100 billion in the next 5-years.

UAE is India's third-largest trade partner globally, after the United States and China. Bilateral trade between both nations stood at $43.3 billion as of 2020-21 and is spread across thousands of traded items. In 2019-20, the pre-pandemic year, trade between the two countries was estimated at $59 billion. The UAE is also home to 35 lakh Indian-origin persons.

Excellent decision! UAE is the ideal partner for taking our relationship with the Middle East to the next level. This fits in nicely with the planned trade corridor into Europe via Greece. Some areas to watch out for:
- Infrastructure (starting with J&K projects) & housing investments
- Fintech, start-up accelerators
- Open integration of transshipped goods
- Re-exports
The possibilities are limitless.

China, Pakistan and Iran are working with the Houthis to destroy India, Saudi, UAE, Turkiye, Israel alliance.
The Houthi problem precedes strategic engagement with India. While the war started only a decade back, the tensions were brimming in Yemen long ago. This is something that UAE will obliterate very soon - either politically, militarily or a bit of both.

And nice target practice for Pakistani, Iranian and Houthi missiles.
 Houthis targeting infrastructure on Indian soil? You must be high or something.

Houtis? Pakistan?... Hindu fanatics dream up crazy stuff...
She's a troll. ignore.

China will take care of India while Pakistan, Iran and Houthis will take care of Saudi Arabia, UAE and Israel.

India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Israeli trade route through Haifa is a threat to BRI.
