The original photo is legitimate. There are scores more of PAF and PLAAF fighters flying in formation across multiple exercises.

Adding more types is a significant headache. PN isn't ready to take on fast-jets on its own yet. PAF does not want to have to support an altogether new type just for the PN. JF-17 will have to do as it replaces Mirage V of the No. 8 Sqn. Nothing is set in stone, things change all the time as options open up and as funding becomes available.

I can't because it may raise some eyebrows and can land me in hot water.

Procurement is also responsibility of MoDP and DGDP, DGMP and associated departments work on it, all 03 services have their presence with at least one star general over seeing matters concerned to them.

JH7 would give more bang for the buck than any other available option. It can provide the much needed long-range, long-endurance, long-range anti-ship cruise/ballistic missile capability that can enable PN to take on any challenge by IN.

ZDK-03, JH-7, and Mirage/Thunder combo can provide long-range detection, long-range strike and long range escort, what else do you need? JH7 itself is big enough to support an AESA.
