The Turkic Council, 2040 Vision: Turkic Council eyes forming 'united states of Turkic world'

Like someone said China, Russia (mostly) and US as well as persians and arabs will be against this. At this moment Russia still holds the power in central asia as in appointing leaders for some countries behind closed doors. And a lot of them whether they like the russians or not share russian names. A lot of powers not just the big 3 (US CHINA RUSSIA) are against any turkic world. Iranians are definitely seeing it as a threat as well as all the arabs who are against a powerful turkic confederacy which may claim to be head of islamic world. So they have a lot of obstacles towards uniting but we will all see what happens.

This council has existed for 29 years and dissolving it would be like trying to disolve the EU or GCC just unrealistic. Turkic Council is a reality and faces no opposition and can't face any opposition whatsoever because it already exists for decades. It is not just an idea but it is a family tree and a bond so strong. The Turkic council is a reality not speculation

Great work by Turkic Nations. TU - Turkic Union would be a great name for it. I like the way they want to invest in their traditions, without any doubt they have beautiful Islamic history, culture, values and spirituality. Naming Turkistan as the cultural capital says alot, would love to visit it one day InshaAllah

BY ASSEL SATUBALDINA in KAZAKHSTAN’S INDEPENDENCE: 30 YEARS, NATION on 1 FEBRUARY 2021

Kazakhstan rewrites its alphabet to shed its Soviet past
Kazakhstan has given itself seven years to transition from the Cyrillic to the Latin alphabet, in a push to modernize the Central Asian country.

Following the break-up of the Soviet Union, neighbouring Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan quickly adopted the Roman script. Kazakhstan, the last of the former Soviet republics to declare independence, was politically more cautious.

Question for fellow Turk members. Wouldn't it be better to you use your own ancestral Turk alphabet in order to revive your culture and unity, before you used arabic and now changing it to Latin alphabet.

Turkmenistan (from 1993), Turkey (1928), TRNC, Azerbaijan (1992), Uzbekistan (1992), are already using the Latin alphabet.

For the Kazakhstan's alphabet change, the law was published in 2017. The transition will be gradually completed by 2031. The transition process in Kyrgyzstan is aimed to be completed in the same interval. The process and possible stages are discussing in public level.

The Main goal here is to consolidate the already existing language unity with the common alphabet as soon as possible and to increase cultural interaction more. It could be a much more costly and difficult process for these states to leave all of this and meet in another common alphabet.

Other Turks, who are a minority in other friendly states, predominantly use Arabic, Arabic-Persian and Cyrillic alphabets. However, almost everyone in the world can read the Latin alphabet. This is a very important advantage.

What type of change and effect will it have

It's their human right to unite if they all choose to without any force. and those who oppose is hypocrisy to the finest. I just hope they use their new power toward world peace and not incite further violence.

You rarely see some sensible posts but this one counts

PAKISTAN should try to make a peaceful reunification.. Or Afghanistan, Tajikstan, Pakistan could become one block and form a military council

There is a chance of a Farsiwan block, which will have Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

Also there are a sizeable Turkic speaking people in all 3 of the Fariswan countries.

I never said anything about Iran... Tajikistan is already an ally of Pakistan and with Afghanistan falling to Taliban there is no obstacles here Creating a council and both countries will also enjoy Pakistan nuclear umbrella main while they provide a necessary manpower to bolster Pakistan's defensive capabilities and offensive capabilities... It is a move that would be beneficial for everyone involved Tajikistan will be extremely relieved and Afghanistan also will be excited by the prospect of such pact and the same with Pakistan.. Win-win-win for everyone and everyone keeps his sovereignty it is mutual council that includes defensive treaty and pacts

Looks like they are building the Turkic corridor aka the Middle corridor. I hope the Trans-Afghan railway is built to maximize the benefit to all nations in the region and beyond. Btw, if Turkmenistan has now become more open to allowing transit trade, a short and cheaper route could be built across southern Afghanistan, from Quetta to Turkmenistan and make Pakistan goods to Europe travel a lot shorter then even the route via Kabul to Uzbekistan.

Any chance Pakistan can become an observer nation in the organization of Turkic nations?
