What's new

The Quran is sacred for Muslims and should be sacred for everyone else - President Putin

They are NATO members and have the power to veto Sweden's entry into NATO.
Lol major NATO powers will pressurise theses NATO countries to not to veto Sweden 's entry to NATO

US, Canada, UK and Germany are the big ones.

Sweden, Polan and Greece are minnows.
Bit Sweden have a good relationship most of these countries you refer it will have negative impact of on OIC countries rather than on Sweden

Honestly not sacred for me. I don't care enough to go out of the way to disrespect it.

Firstly, the quarn was burnt by a mossie. Secondly if Muslims pride in smashing pumpkins of other believers why cry now. Thirdly this was done either by aturkish or a pakistan covert actors to prevent Sweden to get Nato membership or by Swedish anti Nato supporters. So chill and don't break property

sacred for muslims obviously. but why for others?
It does not mean you go and burn the book if you are human then you have to respect each other sentiments. It is logical thing- 1.5 billion people may be some of them living next to your door. Would you like to hurt them. Oh its for human not for Indian to understand this logic.

You are kidding right? Hindutva filth kill people over eating beef!!!
The situation is more complex than it may seem. Islamist individuals in India do not simply kill cows for the purpose of sacrifice or obtaining meat. Their actions are often intended to provoke Hindus, which includes throwing meat in temples and homes. They even go as far as stealing cows from farmers with the sole intention of killing them. Moreover, they engage in the brutal killing of animals, which goes against not only Hinduism but also the secular constitution of India, which prohibits cruelty towards animals.

On the other hand, Hindus resort to killing Muslims only in self-defense or in an effort to maintain law and order in their country. It is important to note that if a Pakistani or Indian Muslim were to disrupt law and order in a country like France, or even in a Muslim-majority country such as Saudi Arabia or Turkey, in the name of Allah, they would also face the risk of being killed.

There have been documented incidents in which Pakistani and Indian Muslims, who sought to disrupt law and order in Arab countries, faced repercussions such as imprisonment, deportation, and even beheading. One specific incident, occurring in either Saudi Arabia or the UAE (the precise location eludes my memory), involved a group of Pakistani Muslims protesting against India's decision to revoke Article 370 in Kashmir. Subsequently, they were apprehended and repatriated. Additionally, you are undoubtedly familiar with the actions taken by Turkey towards Pakistani Muslims. It is worth noting that Muslims in Pakistan and India often grapple with an inferiority complex stemming from their history as converted Muslims, subjected to invasions and plundering. This very sense of inferiority can contribute to radicalization, which is not as prevalent among Arabs and Turks.

Personally, I think holy books should be sacred for everyone.

They should have a sanctity that protects them from these kinds of hooligans
.
I for one, would never torch a copy of the bible, Torah, Baghvad Gita and likewise would teach my children the same.

It's part of basic human decency, respect for other faiths.

Rubbish, many innocent Muslims have been killed and you are a typical example of the kettle calling the pot black.

“I screamed and shouted to tell the mob that we did not eat beef, and they should stop beating my father and my brother, but they pushed me away,” his daughter, Sajida Saifi, who watched the attack helplessly, told Reuters.

Many Hindu groups also engage in the sacrifice of goats, buffalo etc for religious ceremonies. so please stop lying.

The incidents of Pakistani and Indian Muslims causing so called 'trouble' are isolated.
Your analysis of the 'convert' Muslims is hilarious and just reeks of bigotry. Pakistanis are different ethnic groups and came into Islam in a whole manner of ways. Your ignorance of history is appalling to say the least.

It was itinerant preachers and Sufi saints who spread Islam across the Indo-Pakistani subcontinent in the Middle Ages. Their charisma, which was pervaded by the energy of God, and the Islamic promise of equality before the one God were well received in a society shaped by the caste system.

You then claim that radicalisation isn't prevalent among Arabs when ISIS was overwhelming made up of Arab recruits.

As of December 2015, approximately 30,000 fighters from at least 85 countries had joined the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Although the great majority of ISIS recruits come from the Middle East and the Arab world,

I've had enough of you trying to subvert this topic with your Hindutva BS. You're not posting on here anymore.

No, I agree it was idiotic and hurtful to go burn the quron.
Indians understand co-existence better than most of you lot (assuming you're a Pak origin). For proof just look at how many acts of religious terror you have vs India using the correct scale.

I completely agree with you. But you cannot impose decency by decree! You can only appeal to the others' sense of reasoning and hope that leads to a path of decency

It is particularly ironic that these self-appointed protectors of faith (on all sides) use techniques of the devil (violence, anger, destruction of others) and say they are protecting the goodness of God.

The days of West arm twisting OIC are long gone.

OIC now has full support of China.

OIC is now fully being backed by China.

OIC & China are taking up both Kashmir and Palestine issues.

China is fully capable and is taking care of Uyghur terrorists. OIC does not need to get involved here.

What happened in Sweden was a Publicity stunt, the world is focus on War between Russia/Ukraine so right now Russians are the bad guys, once the war is over west will build few more Al-Qaeda's and fund them, and suddenly those countries who doesn't get in line with Western national interest, AQ/ISIS will start popping up there, we all know how it goes, but keeping that aside I doubt Putin has any real respect for Quran nor Quran needs any world leader to establish its respect for Muslims.
If any nation supports burning of books in the name of " Freedom of speech " they are already in moral/ethical decline, I'd just sit back and enjoy.
