@Chhatrapati, you had made this comment last year :
Good for them if they decided to phase out Nuclear power plants, they have the money to switch to wind power given most of their countries are not densely populated. Countries like India do not have that luxury. If Nano diamond batteries come, it's good for everyone. But we can't abandon Nuclear power for something that may come say 20 years later.
What is your opinion now in light of the Japanese decision ?

Nothing but batshit Chinese propaganda. The amount that's going to be released has a very low half-life of 10 years and it is Tritium, the amount that's going to be released is not at dangerous levels unless you plan to drink around 1 million+ litres, The IAEA evaluated it and gave a go-ahead.

I still stand by my statement, Nuclear Energy is the cleanest energy we can use, compared to what we have right now, not to mention the extraction of the metals used in the so-called clean energy are actually more harmful to the environment considering the environment.

Again the power of IQ 72 vs IQ 105.

In 90s, india still richer than China (GDP percapita).
But today, your country is a sh!thole compared to China.

If that radioactive water is safe, then why they didn't keep the water for themselves?

Even the Japanese people itself 'AGAINST' the decision to dump that Radioactive waste water to the Pacific. Meanwhile indian lick their japanese master so well :D Good job, third world !

Sure how about releasing them in the Indian Ocean then. I bet Japan would love to export these waste water to India.

Here comes IQ fetish morons with their superiority complex.

They kept the water for themselves because they were refining it of harmful radio active materials which are now removed. What remains are although radio active, but safe.

People are not scientists, they are some random folks just like Chinese wolf warrior diplomats jumping up and down embarrassing their country. Who should you believe, sure, you can believe these idiot propagandists of CCP or you can believe IAEA whose job is to deal with Nuclear safety.

The claims seems to be exaggerated. Water is a very good insulator for radiation, keeps it localised to one region.

Chinese Govt. Quoting international law on one subject while studiously ignoring it on another is quite ironic.

Read the news, mister indian.

It's not only China, but Korean (both North & South), Taiwan, Russian and even japanese people itself all against the Japanese govt decision to dump Radioactive water to the Pacific.

Even South korean wants to sue the japanese in World Tribunal court.

Those countries (Chinese, Koreans, Russian) are the smartest people, but here indian trying to lecture them about science :enjoy:

The safety of dumping radioactive waste and the concerns of the above mentioned nations intersects if the dumping is done in a region which will have a direct effect on exploitation of resources by the aforementioned nations. That's what their concern is essentially stemming from.

If dumped in a remote corner in the middle of nowhere, it will be safe enough to do so and the claims that it might affect the entire Pacific ocean seem far fetched and contrary to known data on the subject.

Also, do you disagree that to quote international laws and to speak to uphold them one must not selectively choose aspects of it as per convenience. it's either all of it or none of it.

I would also recommend reading up on water, radiation and how the two interact. It's always better to learn, make mistakes and then come to a conclusion rather than agree on a topic simply because of opinions of those who you consider superior say so.

If Indian members and American gov't think those nuclear wasted water are so safe, then just dump it either in Indian ocean or West Coast of the United States. I think the gov't of China, Russia and South Korea do not mind to pay for the transport cost.
