I said journalists were jailed, I did not state the reason why there were jailed.
I am sure that there are made up excuses.
Beeing on top of the list of jailed journalists, is not where You want to be near an election.
Removing immunity of members of parlament, followed by the arrest of HDP members likewise.

Sure media is under pressure lately but majority (not all) of those journalists are pro pkk or gülenist media journalists making propaganda for them, they deserve no less in my opinion.

Arrest of HDP MP's is good too let me explain why:

-Their MPs made statements like ''we put our back towards Qandil'' referring to pkk HQ in Iraq.
-Their MPs shouting ''biji serok apo'' (long live apo) referring to Abdullah Öcalan, the imprisoned founder of pkk in the parliament.

-HDP municipalities have used the peace process to help pkk to ditch trenches in easter cities, they allowed them to deploy weapon and fighters in urban areas, they handed them heavy construction machines to dig trenches and deploy IEDs under asphalt.

All of this would get HDP a complete ban in previous goverments, many parties got banned for much less.
So i dont know why such people should be fed by tax money of people and enjoy immunity, they should rot in jail for all i care.

I agree Luffy but unfortunately Erdogan cant do it alone.he should be supported by the rest of the gulf leaders whom I think dont care about Muslim unity and co operation.

Yep he needs allies and support from GCC specially KSA and Qatar are a must for regional stability. But GCC monarchs also suffer the same problems I mentioned in the OP. The monarchs in gulf have the following problems:

- Deep sense of fear of overthrow by enemies within.

- Fear of what the West might and can do.

- Huge dependence on Oil economy.

- A sectarian resurgent Iran poking its nose to cause instability.

- Some disastrous mistake like funding anti-MB coups in Egypt.


They do NOT have the time to care about their own countries unity let alone Muslim unity. But whatever the case, a strong and stable turkey can act as a regional core of stability and prosperity. Qatar is already very close to turkey and there are signs that KSA is getting closer to it. UAE is a wild card and not that trustworthy IMO.

You see the west (russia included) always had the luxury of internal stability and over 200 years of colonialism developed political institution to prevent sabotage & overthrow of governments, while at the same time they destroyed and looted other countries and put puppet minority governments in place. Elected western leaders do NOT have to worry about coups, opposition conspiracy and foreign intervention and can govern with a peace of mind without constantly looking over their shoulders. This is a luxury Muslim lands did NOT have.....at least till now. Muslim world is slowly but surely coming out of the era of institutional western colonialism and domination IMO. What is vitally needed now is freedom from intellectual colonization.

Have u forgotten ww1 and ww2 which completely rerolled the political map of europe
Internal stability? 1945 many nations in Europe were completely ruined... their government system was blown away by the war and replaced by western democracy or eastern communism... in 1990 in east europe the system was overthrown again by removing the communism fail system with democracy... states seperated..grow back together ... we had military dictatorships after ww2 in spain and in greece that the EU had to overcome and u talk about luxury of internal stability... UK had a civil war with irland etc. etc.
The biggest Army´s ever were facing each other in east and west Germany for 4 decades with million of soldiers and thousend of tanks and jet fighter battle ready 24/7

The western leaders had to worry about so much more...
