Private education doesn't consider Bangladesh's separation as anything major to cover. There are much more important historic events that are covered.

This is the problem. Your country was bifurcated. more than 50% of your population went away. But that is not important event for you!!!!. How you understand what went wrong there and what not to do in future to prevent repetition of such events? Or you will consider it same way if Baluchistan will separate?

on a lighter note, if you forget the history for Kashmir in the same way then it would be great for the subcontinent and your country too

there r no 14 years in o levels. yes it is there but is taught in very last months before cie exams in O-1 or O-2, and there isn't much on the topic in that syllabus, its only mentioned that East Pak separated, not what happened or the reasons which led to the separation. That is actually hilarious. Few months back i reopened that book again and wanted to kill myself for inaccuracies in that crap they taught us.

It's not too vague, but I understand your pains. The problem is that teachers are too focused on getting kids a good grade and memorizing paper answers rather than teaching history.

The premise of the article is wrong - the author has absolutely no idea what they're talking about. I lived in Pakistan for decade and a half, no one gave a sh*t about Bangladesh, much less care about that they were once a part of Pakistan. I see the same sentiment even today, so the author will have to show some empirical statistics for the premise to be taken seriously.

It does not matter who wrote it, If any Pakistan would agree with him he would have posted it here and since an Indian posted it here then Indians should be willing to hear any arguments which may and may not involve their country. Just saying a Pakistan wrote it does not put an stamp of approval
