USA crashed its 7th F/A-18 in less than 6 months, and NATO countries loses another 2 F/A-18 within the same period of time, without any combat mission:

Including:

June 2, 2016, USAN lose one F/A-18, pilot dead.
July 27, 2016, USAN lose another F/A-18, pilot dead.
August 2, 2016, USAN lose another F/A-18, pilot surivived
August 29, 2016, Switizeland airforce lose one F/A-18, pilot dead
Oct 25, 2016, USAN-marine lose another F/A-18, pilot dead
Nov 9, 2016, USAN-marine lose two F/A-18, both pilots surivived
Nov 28, 2016, Canda airforce lose one F/A-18, pilot dead.
Dec 7, 2016, USAN-marine lose another F/A-18, pilot dead.

Looks like F/A-18 is a death trap for its poorly trained pilots.

And so far, in the same period of time, the USAF lose 5 F-16 and many other aircrafts.

So far during 6 months, USA military force lose 20+ fixed wing aircrafts, none in any combat mission.

With such poorly made US fighters, who needs enemy, no wonder the USA lose more combat aircrafts since the end of WW2 than the combinatino of the entire rest world, and you can still hear the americans brag about their "air superiority", you know, they sure are very good at propaganda.

poorly made aircraft and poorly trained pilots  really now. I would figure it's because of the age of the aircraft and how many hours the pilot fly a year which is over 300 hours or more....so you are going to get accidents.

most of the F/A 18s have over 25 years on the air frame, and far as I see you don't see the younger age F/A 18 Super Hornets dropping out of the sky.

anyhow the F/A 18 is being phased out and Super Hornets and F-35 will be taking over, so it's all good

Sir, these are older aircraft. Had the JSF not been delayed, and Super Hornets weren't going through upgrades, you'd have seen replacements coming a few years ago.

Unlike the shiny new J-10C and the J-15 crashes, we don't have anything like that. These planes flew in about three conflicts on hundreds of missions, and outside of actual combat, the pilots have been clocking well over 250 hours a year, some even more. These are Naval aircraft so the ocean will always have an effect on the plane after 25 years of service. But still, nothing compared to a brand shinny J-15 crash with less than hundred hours on the air frame, only happens in China :enjoy:

F 18s are a tried and tested platform, its just that they are old and the replacement is not there. If the F-35s are not inducted soon then more of these planes will fall from sky.

The F-18's combat record is better than -- THE ENTIRE PLAAF'S.

There is no comparison between a cell phone and an instrument that you have no choice but to COMPLETELY trust your life to do its job to get you home in one piece.

Wait...The PDF Chinese are nothing but a bunch of conscript rejects. What do they know of hardship ?
Can even do simple things and then talk about big things? Made in USA nothing but thrash. US Coporate will maximize profit and compromise quality. That is the trend of Made in USA. The frequent F-18 crashed all tells you something. This is fact fact, USA fanboy hard to digest. :enjoy:

Combat against insurgent and cave man. This kind of record is nothing to boast about for modern military hardware.

China has no right to point fingers especially when it failed to cover up one of the biggest military disasters (read SSBN blowing up) in human history !

Self delusion. Only USA and Russia SSBN blow up due to poor training and cheap parts. PLAN do not even has a single SSN or SSBN mishap. The west is only good in spreading cheap and false lies about others.

This is your China...

Your J-20 is a cleaned up MIG 1.44. Your J-31 is a near clone of our F-35.

Then what is the combat record of the PLAAF ? Other than its pilot ramming lumbering four engine prop jobbers ?
Yes, we shot down many US planes during Korea war. As I say, your F-18 record is only for taking out low quality insurgent with nothing to show. There is nothing to brag about. :enjoy:

About that nomenclature :
USAN? Sounds quite Asian and nice but it's simply USN really! *
Switizeland? If you meant the lesser known cousin of New Zealand,
I think it's spelled Sweetie Zealand but they don't have an Air Force!
Canda? As in the game show, Canuck land will probably take a vowel !

As for the opinion expressed, I'll abstain from commenting but really,
you should duck and take cover : incoming fire warning, mate!

Best of luck, Tay.

* And the Marines' acronym is USMC; Semper Fi and all that.

Mind doing the honors @gambit ?

Well, before we start to think about combat in SCS, your leaders start to put statements out there that we don't want a conflict with the US. And then many on here start to admit how bad it would be for China, if a conflict started with the Chinese tomorrow as the Chinese military is still decades behind.

By the way, ask your uncle Russia on how they broke into pieces from the USSR. I am sure they will tell you about our capabilities. In that time, we didn't even fire a shot ourselves, we just "trained" people . Now imagine our own soldiers in that scenario. And every place we've had a conflict, whether in Serbia, Iraq, Libya or Syria or elsewhere, they all had the Russian air defense and aircraft, and we annihilated the entire AD produce line that the Russians call "state of the art" and which is the backbone of your AD.

I have a feeling, that on one fine day, some reefs and shoals in the SCS in the coming years will get a couple of visitors. After that, those reefs will become debris and there won't be an ADIZ of any sort. Be concerned about that day when the -dash line, becomes a 9-7=2 dash line and the Taiwanese will have some air-superiority supported by the US :enjoy:

Another thread whose sole purpose is anti-American propaganda. It has nothing whatsoever to do with F-18's. It has nothing whatsoever to do with aircraft safety. Just typical scared, little boy, Chinese, trying so pathetically and desperately, to prove their weenie is bigger than the other boys...........and well, we all know that ain’t true.

Lol at the soar *** americans' replies

Dont lie, we all know the USA still order F/A-18 now, and your F-35 is full of shit now haunted with huge problems accroding to warisboring:rofl:

And at this rate, you dont need to "retire" your F/A-18s, they will all be "grounded" by themselves before you want to retire anyone of them:rofl:

And no, dont get anyone wrong, besides your own pilots, nobody fear your fighters like "oxygen-lacking" F-22, "fire-prone" F-35 or "crash landing" F/A-18:omghaha:

Of course not. Considering the PLA consists of conscripts who are more than eager to get the hell out of the service so they can make real money, the PLA would be foolish to do anything dangerous like pushing the limits of its hardware to have any mishaps. If there is ever a shooting fight between our navies, the US will help the Chinese people balancing out their gender imbalance.

China does seem to have its fair share of submarine accidents.
