Dear Readers,

The prayers of getting justice, by many Muslims and non- Muslims who had suffered at the hands of Osama Bin Laden’s terrorism was answered on May 2nd, 2011. It was a historic day for the innocent and peace-leaving people, when Osama Bin Laden (OBL), the face of death and the symbol of terrorism was killed in a military operation. Justice, on the side of humanity and the innocent, was served. OBL death comes at a time when the Muslim world, who rejected his ideology of violent change, now strives for freedom and democracy through civil rights and social progress. However, while OBL death provides momentary relief, we bear in mind that this does not mean the end of Al-Qaeda (AQ) terrorism. We remain committed, along with the international community and our regional allies to defeating AQ and Taliban terrorism.

Unfortunately soon afterwards, statements were released by AQ, Afghan Taliban and the TTP, who confirmed his death and vowed to increase attacks in revenge for his death. Ehsanullah Ehsan, a spokesman for Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), told Reuters that, "Now Pakistani rulers, Zardari and the army will be our first targets. America will be our second target."

Al-Qaeda Confirms OBL’s Death and Vows Revenge
Taliban Commander Vows to Avenge Bin Laden's Death
TTP Vows to Target Pakistan Army and Government

Their statement reconfirms OBL’s death, and, like OBL, their disregard towards attacking Muslims. Most importantly, does it not show their hypocrisy? Have they not targeted and killed more innocent Pakistani and Afghan civilians than Americans? And now once again, in return for the life of a single foreign mass murderer they are willing to increase their attacks and target Pakistanis. Does this not tell you who Pakistan’s real enemy is?

The death of Osama Bin Laden is a certainty. Even the fish in the Arabian Sea can confirm it. After all they are not likely to forget their banquet for a long, long time.

About the threats emanating from the cohorts of the departed OBL, that is serious business too; and not just because of the implicit confirmation of the extermination of OBL. But more for the explicit threat that they are to the world (including Pakistan) at large. That is what needs to be addressed presently.

All countries around the Globe need to acknowledge this fact and step up their vigilance to forestall all their strenuous efforts to deliver on their threats. That is the essential message now.

We don't give a flying **** about OBL, neither AQ, not US and what US wants.. OBL is dead.. GOOD!!!.. Now leave OUR country!!

Our concern is that in only 2010 there were 3500 civilian deaths (1500 more) than 9/11 due to drone attacks.. for us.. terrorists are not AQ or Taliban or OBL.. for us Terrorists are US and US army.. so whatever Sh!t you come up with.. whatever sh!t you put in the mouth of "paid media and politicians".. the truth is.. There have been more than 35000 civilian deaths in last 7 years.. and they were all Pakistanis.. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH..

We the People of Pakistan DO NOT want you here anymore.. LEAVE US ALONE!!!!!!!

Never did it in the past, not going to do it now. That is the prerogative of Pakistan. Havent you been doing it from 1951?
CENTO and SEATO; does that ring a bell? And the saga still continues until now.

The vigilance is the responsibility of each country. No country needs to be (in the words of Imran Khan) to be "the hired gun of another country".

Dear Aatish,

In 2010, there were over 1200 people killed and over 2000 injured in Pakistan due to suicide bombs and attacks by the Taliban. Already in 2011, over 230 people are killed and almost 500 wounded. In addition, Terrorists have vowed to increase more attacks on Pakistani army and government. Do you still think terrorism is not a concern for the common Pakistani civilians, who are living under the fear and uncertainty of not knowing who will be the victim of suicide attacks? These suicide attacks are deliberately aimed at civilians, we agree with you when you say enough is enough. Pakistanis have suffered at the hands of terrorism, from losing its citizens to losing territory to the terrorists and the terror havens that foreign terrorists have established on its soil. All of these issues have plagued the region. Wouldn’t it be more logical to fight against the people who are actually responsible for carrying out such actions against Pakistan, instead of baselessly accusing the U.S. of terrorism against Pakistanis, who are our allies?

On 9/11, 3000 men and women of several nationalities, races, and religions were murdered by Osama Bin Laden and his terrorist organization. Do you not realize that he and his hatred filled ideology is the cause of terrorism around the world? Therefore, his terrorist organization and he, are a concern of the entire international community, and every single person, whether it be a Muslim or a non Muslim, American or Pakistani, Afghan or Arab, they were given justice. The end of terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda is a global issue, appeasement, turning a blind eye to the truth and blaming U.S. for the sufferings of Pakistan is illogical and it will not help in bringing stability and peace in the region. We will not abandon Afghanistan and our alliance with Pakistan, the result of which we are seeing now in the form of foreign terrorists making terror havens inside both these countries. It is because of our strategic alliance with Pakistan that we are able to progress in the War against terrorism and we shall continue to make gradual but effective advancements.

whats ur take on this report?

The US and Pakistan struck a secret deal almost a decade ago permitting a US operation against Osama bin Laden on Pakistani soil similar to last week's raid that killed the al-Qaida leader, the Guardian has learned.

The deal was struck between the military leader General Pervez Musharraf and President George Bush after Bin Laden escaped US forces in the mountains of Tora Bora in late 2001, according to serving and retired Pakistani and US officials.

Under its terms, Pakistan would allow US forces to conduct a unilateral raid inside Pakistan in search of Bin Laden, his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri, and the al-Qaida No3. Afterwards, both sides agreed, Pakistan would vociferously protest the incursion.

"There was an agreement between Bush and Musharraf that if we knew where Osama was, we were going to come and get him," said a former senior US official with knowledge of counterterrorism operations. "The Pakistanis would put up a hue and cry, but they wouldn't stop us."
