By the time Tejas are ready for export Myanamar and Nigeria will be
retiring JF17 thunders. These 2 countries will be placing orders for
Pakistan 5th gen fighter.

Pakistani 5th gen.?? Top notch countries struggle to create a great stealth platform when they have tremendous R&D resources and budget but you claim without a hint of hesitation about Pakistani made 5th gen jets.

Nope, Saab imports F404 jet engines.

SAAB are not using F404 engines in Gripen.
Gripen A/B/C/D are using the RM12 from Volvo Flygmotor, and Gripen E/F are using the F414.

However the American engine may be a liability in export. Gripen also uses F404 but Saab copied it and manufactures it on its own. India cannot copy something as complex as a jet engine. So when it comes to Gripen vs Tejas everyone picks Gripen.

We are planning to try and get the Kaveri on the LCA by the time the main delivery starts from 2021 onwards. We are working with the French there.

Saab imports the F404 and F414 for the Gripen. The RM-12 is just a modified F404. The main parts are all from America.

Our pilots and our defence minister says something else and hence 123 jets have been ordered with 300+ in the near future....production facilities for the Tejas is being ramped up as well.!!

As far as laying the foundation for a 5th gen is concerned, AMCA is already a project that is gathering steam.!!
