What's new

Tejas misses another deadline for being fully combat-ready

First acquire the capability like JF to field half a dozen squadrons of Tejas then see.....
And two aircraft don't make a squadron strength.

There are hundred thunders in service without a basic Hms and hobs missile system. Which means In a dogfight. My money is on the mki mirage 2000 mig29 everytime . Heck even Iaf bison has this option.

The radar has a Max range of 70Kkm.

Half baked fighter on budget is a desperation measure which Iaf would never accept

Having said this only Nine tejas is too slow a rate of production

Not too concerned about foc

Tejas is aiming for high quality, and evidence for this is the big sums of money being spent. India only goes for the best, not for anything else. Once the final product is ready in 2050, it will be world #1 3rd generation aircraft still in production.

Congratulations to HAL / DRDO and all the other geniuses in the cow worshiping country of rapists. Word is, Tejas is also going to get female fighter pilots so the country can screw women in new ways.

9 Tejas delivered.
Last year HAL produced 12 Su-30 MKI, 8 Tejas, 4 Do-228, 24 Dhruvs.

Tejas has completed all requirements of FOC except live demonstration of Air to Air refuelling which will be done soon.
FOC will come by December 2018.
It's still a failure as any government has the option of outsourcing production of subsystems to local private contractors.Like your space agency does.
HAL seems to enjoy having control over this project but faces no repurcusions for it's tardy output.

HAL is doing fine. They have delivered more than what they promised.

LCA received IOC in Dec 2013, the first IOC version, SP-3, was delivered in Dec 2016, that's 3 years later. 3 years is the normal time for delivery of aircraft once ordered.

They have delivered 9 since then, out of 16, and a whole bunch of aircraft are being readied for more deliveries this year. They have in fact over-delivered.

Its become fashionable to blame HAL or DRDO, especially by those who know almost nothing about these organizations.

They too have their faults like all other organizations in the world, but its not what they think or talk about.

They are victims of propaganda. Plenty of Indians also, even at very high levels, because they base it on hearsay.

Be patient. It will eventually get there. For any government project, what else can one do other than being patient?

Can we pretty please have something new to take micky out of India. Tejas bhai is getting boring now, even for us Pakistanis. :D

I would put my bank savings .my home and my land in Punjab India that mark one Lca with only initial operational clearance kicks both the block one and two thunders into touch when it comes to performance

India final operational clearance is just another level to Pakistan's air force who will accept half ready fighters as they are so limited in options alternatives

Beggars can't be choosers
Lol....IAF and standards.....give us a break fanboy.....
An air force which is still depending on a 50 year old MiG design surly oozes with standards.
With over 1700 crashes the IAF certainly has the standards to claim the top spot.
It's cricket scoring standards are the talk of the town'
The PAF despite it's small budget has made a mark in history and has delivered, name one battle where your superior standard IAF has ever managed to deliver.
Oh yes, painting your own wreck in PAF colours was indeed a high standard job something even a sub sahran airforce will find hard to math.

There are professionals and then there is Agni Pankh.....

Guys India already has 12th generation Mahbharata Vedic fighter jet plane, they are just delaying Tejas so the rest of the world doesn’t suspect of their 12th generation technology

Focus on your 1400 year old jf which already have crashed twice

First acquire the capability like JF to field half a dozen squadrons of Tejas then see.....

Really... We will never induct a fighter jet Having capabilities like jf

Lols when Tejas ride on trucks expect no crash....
Still better than a fighter jet inducted without the capability to fire missiles or guns
