What's new

Teach us cricket, we’ll teach you football’ – Brazilian coach Sanchez’s offer to Younis

. .
They'll teach how to collapse in a worldcup final at home with 1-7.

Well at least they will make it to the world cup, south asian teams in general are quite experienced in loosing by that margin

wow...reading the title, i thought Tite was in Pakistan.... lolz

There should be a football stadium in makran division . People are talented there .

.
Well really not even a staidum just need Artificial grass turf 99% like grass , needs no water and is smooth as blliard table ideal surface for soccer/football.

Stadiums are there (in some what bad shape but there not accessible to amature sports or youth)

Pakistan has tremendous talent , around Liyari , Makran , KPK areas and even in Punjab

But realistically the sport is very popular in all age groups

Just need a 1,000 (Artificial Grass Turf) ground initiative acorss country

These amature turf parks are the #1 fields that attract youth for
quick 6 vs 6 or 7 vs 7 games

However it is 100% common to have at least this level of fields beside each School
This model is standard across all schools in developed countries

The turf needs 0% maintenence , looks amazing all season (Rain , Summer , Winter)
This is standard model for 11 vs 11 Ameture level playing

In Pakistan , our schools generally highschools rarely have any focus on Physical activity
also there is general lack of interest also from Provincial governments

That is why we are generally quite far in this particular sport

Also from community's health prespective , such avenues are easy way to provide much needed entertainment to local Youth groups

It is million times better that Youth is focused on organized sports in leagues and sports vs doing stunts on motor bikes on busy roads

Liyari has more talent in football then rest of Pakistan combined, yet we hardly see any Baloch players breaking through. Its always some mommy daddy kids from Lahore that ends up in football team. They suck, even I can out run the fatties and my local town club in UK would beat Pakistan 10-0.

.
Well it's a really great offer it's time to move on from cricket and develop our own football team but i was thinking maybe we should get training from Germans if we really are serious about developing football team.

. .
Yes i wish we can convert some of our talented young Generation from Cricket to football and its possible hiring a Coach for long term who knows how to make the best of each player and im sure we can Achieve result.

I hope we can do INSHALLAH
We don't need to convert.. We have plenty of people who are genuinely aptitude for football and people of Baluchistan and KPK are more suited for football than cricket..so this way we will increase the sporting culture in the country far and wide...

.
it would be nice to see future subcontinental countries in FIFA world cup...
so pls accept his offer :D

KARACHI: Pakistan batsman Younis Khan on Friday met Brazilian football coach Romildo Sanchez, who is in Karachi to train young Pakistani footballers for a few days.

The veteran batsman, after warmly greeting the coach, shared his love and passion for football and requested Sanchez to promote the sport in Pakistan.

“We play football here, we love football. After cricket, it’s football here in Pakistan,” Younis said, adding that it has always been his wish to promote the game in the country.

“The moment I got to know you were here in Pakistan I was keen to meet you,” Younis added.

Sanchez, who was visiting Karachi’s ‘mini Brazil’ Lyari stadium today, warmly returned the greetings and invited Younis to come to Brazil to promote cricket in his native country.

“You teach us cricket and we will teach you football,” the coach offered.

Sanchez said that collective efforts are needed to promote football in Pakistan. “The government must step up efforts to develop this sport. You also need schools to promote and develop talent in children for football,” he said.

Speaking to Geo News earlier this week, Sanchez said Pakistanis and Brazilians were very similar.

"Pakistan has a lot of talent for football. It’s like my own country. People here are just like us, only the language is different," he said.

During his visit, Sanchez – who is the Director Players Club of Tampa Bay, Florida-USA – is imparting training to students of different schools and five district associations of the provincial metropolis. He is also holding training sessions for the youth of Lyari — where football is a popular sport.
